people look at me funny when I read these books.

Where do i even start?
I laughed so f*****g much listening to this book!
Robert Bevan definitely knows how to tickle your funny bone or should I say; taint, with a word feather when it comes to writing about a group of nerdy fools from the real world trying to survive in a D&D like universe.
if you enjoyed the previous books you'll for sure love this one.
while reading this though I couldn't help but wonder if Robert Bevan has experienced some of the foul and humorous things that happen to the characters in this book. There's no way someone could come up with these hilarious situations off the top of their head.
reading these books feels like you're joking around with your best friend. you know, the only type of friendship you could get away with being this freaking weird and disgusting around without feeling embarrassed or weird about it with.
Robert Bevan writes in a style that when reading it, feels like home... in a weird way. I'm not really sure how else to put it.
buy this damn book and you'll see what I mean.
and if you haven't read the previous C&C novels then go do that first!
it'll pull you out of your everyday life and s**t you out head first into the world of Critical Failures and hilarity.
but be advised, do not listen to this and drive because you may crash your car into a school bus from laughing so hard and the cops will look at you funny when you're still laughing by the time they get there.

the "empire strikes back" of c and c

good storyline. i first gave this book 4 stars but as i thought about it, the characters would have gotten old if there wasnt a change in the storyline and character arcs.
when i first listened to these books, i thought robert bevan was a funny guy. now i think he is also a master story teller. great job taking it to a darker place while still making me laugh.
only problem is, now we have to wait to find out what happens next. return of the tim is hopefully right around the corner.

Another Masterpiece

Another great book in the C&C series. The zombies out of nowhere made no sense though, but I won't be harsh. Can't wait for Book 5!!!!!

They Are Back In The Game, Then Split Up

This story shows you why you never should split up the party even when there seems to be know other way to move forward.

A great continuation, but the end...

If you've gone through the series, there is not much to say but that it is incredibly amusing in its own way. However, I found the end, the very end, quite forced its way to assure another volume. Also, Tim has been my favorite character through the series, but not through this book. Seems toke that the character changed somehow, a bit inconsistent in my opinion. I hope for a recovery.

An excellent entry

An excellent addition to the series. Full of humor (both dry and raunchy), and a memorable hook for the next book. AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

for the d and d player in everyone

a little crude, but tearwellingly funny. if you like d and d, you'll love this interpretive story

Love this series

I love how raw and blatant the characters are, and Jonathan Sleep does an amazing job!!

not as attractive

I'll be short, like Tim. still a great listen. had a hard time holding my interest and I feel like it was kinda "meh" compared to the first 3. the reader does an excellent job, and the funny parts are still very funny. just felt less frequent to me.

The Phantom Pinas can go all night.

The 4th critical failures installment leaves me once again wanting for more. This series is the Bad Santa of books and I am grateful to have found it.

The entire thought process this mad scientists of an author displays to create such a crazy gag reel filled world revolving around a small group of real life people dropped into it never fails to amaze me how he always has something new and outrageous for us to find.

Since reviewers say the best part of the book is the last hour but for me the last 16 minutes in particular were the best of the best. I was amazed at how the entire story comes together then falls apart once again in that short span. I am desperately waiting for part 5 now!
