Publisher's summary

Morrow Little is haunted by the memory of the day her family was torn apart by raiding Shawnee warriors. Now that she is nearly a grown woman and her father is ailing, she must make difficult choices about the future. Several men - ranging from the undesired to the unthinkable - vie for her attentions, but she finds herself inexplicably drawn to a forbidden love that both terrifies and intrigues her. Can she betray the memory of her lost loved ones - and garner suspicion from her friends - by pursuing a life with him? Or should she seal her own misery by marrying a man she doesn't love? This sweeping tale of romance and forgiveness will envelop listeners as it takes them from a Kentucky fort through the vast wilderness to the west in search of true love.

Can't get enough!

Every time I read this book I fall in love with the characters all over again. Now that I've heard the audiobook, I love it all the more! The Narrator brings out Morrow's voice in soft but strong way. Her feelings and emotions were so pliable that I could imagine everything happening in the story so vividly! I also love this story because the couple went through many obstacles and challenges. It wasn't just a fall in love, happy ever after kind of book! It had lots and lots of substance. Great story. Cant wait to pick it up again.

One of Laura Frantz’s best

This is one of Frantz’s best novels. The narrators style is very well-suited to the story. Highly recommended.

Mesmerizing

The story catches you up in it and the narration flawless. My only negative is it felt like the end just wrapped up overly quickly after the slow meander of the rest. It felt forced from an editor somehow.

A captivating love story

After "the frontier's man daughter" this one had ties that continue on with Cpt Click. Same narrator that I enjoyed, doesnt read all the words together, appropriate pauses to add meaningful thought. Couldnt put it down. Good love story, christian , clean detail. didnt need to fast forward through this one. I did rewind some times, so I wouldnt miss a bit of it.

Courting Morrow Little

Excellent writing and storytelling! Laura Frantz is now my Favorite author! The narration by Laura Jennings is perfect for this book. You can feel the anguish and emotions in Marrow. The story kept my interest throughout the book and kept me at the edge of my seat. It also gave me insight into life during this time period and what life was like during the expansion of our country. It also had me look at things from different perspectives and point of view. I highly recommend this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and several other books by Laura Frantz.

Morrow Meets Her Destiny

If you are a history buff and can picture the migration of your own ancestry, then you are sure to love this novel.

Each character is painted with a tapestry of words that brings them off the page.

Morrow went from a pudgy 5 year old, to a living mother.

Take the time to join her in a perilous time of Early American Expansion.
