About this listen

Alex Taylor is an ER nurse who prides herself on the care she gives to those in need. Through a chance encounter, Alex meets police sergeant Francesca Greco and finds the handsome officer too hard to resist. When Alex is diagnosed with a devastating disease, her role is changed from caregiver to patient and she prepares for the fight of her life.

Frank Greco has developed intense feelings for Alex, but wonders if she has it in her to take care of another woman she loves who has become sick. However, she sees this as an opportunity to do things differently this time around. A heartfelt romance between two women who face adversity, past and future, for a chance at love.

Empowerment and Love

This story was so beautiful and heartfelt that once I started listening to it, I couldn't stop. I absolutely loved the dynamics between Alex and Franc. Their slow burn way of getting together and growing together was beautiful. The building of trust and trying to stay honest with each other was something to behold. I also loved the surrounding support system that kept them honest with each other as well as themselves. The strength of these women and Alex's parents was astonishing and beautiful. I felt their pain, their joy, their anger, their anguish, their sadness, their fear but most of all, I felt their desire and love. I would recommend this book to anyone, it's a wonderful story of empowerment and love..CONGRATS.

could of been better

This book could of been better. it had such a good story line to it. but there was to much cheesiness to it. the narration was horrible. I felt I was listing to a grade schooler talk. it was hard to connect with the main characters this could of been really powerful, but fell short because of the dialog.

Cute syory

Didn't love it but was a great cancer fighting story. Makes you mad but I guess that's the point to induce emotion.

Good idea, but falls short on delivery...

Honestly, I had a hard time getting through this book. The narration was decent enough, but the story mostly dragged on. There were a few good sections, but they were rushed, and ended much too soon. I also didn't appreciate the overt foreshadowing. It took away from any tension I might have experienced, that would have made the reading more enjoyable.

Candice

the story seems like a good one but the narration ruined it. It took everything I had to make myself finish the book
