Losing a pet feels like losing a part of yourself. They weren’t just animals—they were companions, confidants, and family. Their absence creates an empty space, leaving behind quiet moments and loneliness that can be hard to explain. Grieving a pet is deeply personal, layered with emotions like sadness, guilt, and anger. You may feel regretful over the things left undone. Memories bring both tears and smiles as the pain of their absence clashes with the joy they brought.

So, what’s your favorite Bible verse? Wait, let me guess. Is it Jeremiah 29:11? Maybe Philippians 4:13? Or could it be John 3:16? Don’t get me wrong—those are all great, but let’s be honest, we hear them a lot. I’m willing to bet your favorite passage probably isn’t coming from Haggai, Obadiah, or Nahum—right? But guess what? Those books have some gems, too. If you’re ready to go beyond the usual, you’ve come to the right place!

Story
When Edmund Hillary first conquered Mt. Everest, Sherpa Tenzing Norgay was at his side. Indeed, for as long as Westerners have been climbing the Himalaya, Sherpas have been the unsung heroes in the background. In August 2008, when eleven climbers lost their lives on K2, the world’s most dangerous peak, two Sherpas survived. They had emerged from poverty and political turmoil to become two of the most skillful mountaineers on earth. Based on unprecedented access and interviews, Buried in the Sky reveals their astonishing story for the first time.

For 30 years, drummer, author, and songwriter Neil Peart had wanted to write a book about "the biggest journey of all in my restless existence: the life of a touring musician." Finally, the right time, and the right tour. In the summer of 2004, after three decades, 20 gold albums, and thousands of performances, the band Rush embarked on a 30th Anniversary World Tour. The "R30" tour traveled to nine countries, where the band performed 57 shows for more than half a million fans. Uniquely, Peart chose to do his between-show traveling by motorcycle, riding 21,000 miles of back roads.

Great guidebook for all things Costa Rica
We’re heading to Costa Rica this year so was excited to read this book. There’s some suggested itineraries that we’re definitely going to use. Also there’s some great suggestions for hikes, eco tourism and adventures that I haven’t found in lonely planet. And some of the eating suggestions sound fun too. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting something different
