Love Sam!
Did not enjoy this book as much as the previous books. Story line was a little repetitive of the last books written.

Sam Johnstone never disappoints
loved the twists and turns with the characters. Love then or not, they make a superb novel. Nothing to dislike.

Good suspense and continuation in the series.
The ending seemed unfinished, hurried.Could have provided more development and /or closure of Sam's character downfall

Too Many Loose Ends!
I have enjoyed this series, but this latest book left me feeling quite frustrated. Too many things unsolved. There was not even a resolution for the case that dominated this story. And the next one in the series is a year away! I do feel like the author kind of left us high and dry. Excellent narration but way too many unanswered questions.

The Saga Continues
The story was engaging enough. I like the main character Sam and the story of his personal journey. Some of the story lines were a little rushed and not quite developed. Overall, it was a good read.

Still Sam
Sam stayed true to form as a protagonist. The internal joys and struggles were relatable to most audiences in one way or another. The ending seemed confusing and rushed. The secondary characters didn’t get the closure they deserved. That said, I enjoyed yet another book in this series.

Conflicted
Having listened to all of the previous books in this series, it was surprising to see the change in Sam’s character to one more grubbier and edgy. It was off-putting at times. Nonetheless, it was an intriguing story with very interesting characters.

Reminds me a lot about things from my own life.
He mostly gets it right. The story is not perfect but that is part of our reality. He also has graduated to cliff hangers or at least foreshadowing making the reader look forward to the next book.
Overall, I definitely recommend the whole series so far.

I love Sam!
PoorSAM! His whole life can fall down around his ears and he just keeps keeping on. I love stories about guys that are successful in recovery and Sam is doing so well!!! I sure hope he doesn’t drink the beer he took out of the fridge just as the story ended.

Sam is a great character and the story is interesting but I prefer if all the loose ends are tied up instead of leading into another novel
