So when he sees Franny - a golden-haired angel with deep green eyes, delicate features, and the sweetest smile - he sets out to make her his. But Franny is far from the innocent she seems. Enjoyed The Escape To The Past

I really love the series and enjoyed the first two books more than the last two.

Comanche Magic! Troubled soul’s learning to be whole.

The story is rich with culture, drama and most of all true love. The narration—performance is excellent and beautifully done. I loved the story and the message it gives. Live for today and leave yesterday in the past or something like that.

Excellent story

The story kept your attention moved right along, however the narrator is not good. She made it sound terrible. I have read this series in book form before and now with Audible. A different narrator someone with spunk would make this series worth while to listen too.

Love the writing style of the author

Loved this entire series. I enjoyed all the stories but this one was the one I liked the most. It was well told and the authors ability to make you understand the complexity of human nature good and bad is amazing.

I am an avid ready and surprised I never heard of the author before. Her character development and ability to make words paint a poignant picture is unparalleled.

I plan to listen to/read all her works in the coming months.

Chase and Francine

*****SPOILER ALERT*****

Comanche Magic by Catherine Anderson. Comanche Moon series book 4. Dual POV. Historical western bi-racial romance; H is Comanche/white and h is white. Suzanne Toren's narration was entertaining. It's listed as 13 hours 1 minute; I listened at speed 2.5 for 5 hours 12 minutes. Content warnings: H is a peeping Tom who has visited brothels; h's father is deceased, h's mom is blind, and one of h's siblings is disabled; h became a prost¡tute to support her mom and 7 siblings; h's mom asked a madam to recruit h when h was 13.

Location: Oregon

Chase Kelley Wolf (25; March birthday) has been working in lumber since he was 18, with dreams of becoming a lumber barron. He has brown hair, blue eyes, is a smoker, and home recuperating from breaking his ribs in a drunken logging accident. Indigo (24), Chase's younger sister, is married to Jake Rand. They have 2 children, Hunter Chase Rand (4; skinny, black hair) and Amelia Rose Rand (18 months old; curly black hair, brown eyes). They have a pet wolf named Sonny. Chase used to be like his sister and communicated with animals. Chase and Indigo's parents are Hunter Wolf (Comanche) and Loretta Wolf (white). While recuperating, Chase sees a beautiful woman playing in the river with his nephew.

Francine Graham (22; aka Franny) is a petite blonde with green eyes. She's Indigo's best friend and the town prost¡tute. When her father, Frank Sr, was killed in a carpentry accident, young 13 year old Franny began working in a brothel to support Mary Graham, her mother (blind from measles), and her 7 siblings [Frank Jr (8, 17; aka Frankie), Elena (7, 16), Mary (?), Teresa (4, 13), Matthew (3, 12), Jason (1, 10; disabled from measles), and another unnamed sibling]. She lives in a different town and works for May Bell, the madam, at the Lucky Nugget, owned by Gus. Chase originally warns her away from visiting his family because she's a prost¡tute, but his sister and father shame him into apologizing to Franny. Chase quickly realizes he not only wants to help Franny but that he's in love with her. He proposes to her, and while she's thinking about it, Franny finds out she's pregnant from one of her clients. Chase accepts her, and they go to the justice of the peace to be married. When Frank Jr finds out that Franny is a prost¡tute he confronts her, humiliates, and shuns her in front of others. Franny goes catatonic and May Bell took her to Chase. When Franny doesn't come out of it, Chase takes Franny to her family to confront them, leaves her there so she can heal from her past, hoping that she'll return to him. She did and in the end they're celebrating with a big wedding.

The story is pretty good but it left me feeling very sad. JP

Wondering why a book like this doesn't have a plot

Spolier alert: Similar to previous book in this series, the only plot in this book is to get one gal married and bedded by her husband. 36 chapters and THAT'S VIRTUALLY THE WHOLE PLOT!. I can think of hundreds of plots with these characters that would actually be romantic, adventourous and interesting... what a waste this book was. Too bad my writing skills don't match my imagination, or this author would have more competition.

On the other hand, I mostly use Audible as a way to get to sleep and stay asleep... so in that sense, this book did the job! ZZZzzzz
