J. D. Colter had the perfect family and perfect life. He couldn't ask for anything better. He had it all until a tragic accident takes it all away. He packs up everything he needs on his Harley and leaves for the seclusion of the Wyoming mountains.

Sara Ann Starr is his only neighbor and has two little children that he doesn't want to be around - it hurts too much. When they are kidnapped, he takes Sara Ann and goes to Yellowstone, where he and Sara Ann become close, and she tells him how she feels about him. It takes him getting rid of his demons and saying good-bye to his ghosts to make him see that love can indeed bring life back into his dead heart, but does he want it?

A good clean romance

I felt like the story was a bit anemic after the first third of the book. Oy started out very strong with a heart tugging plot, but it was almost as if the writer wanted to make the book longer than it needed to be. Once the characters were introduced, I did not really feel that they grew even though that's what the story was trying to be about. I feel the narrator did a good job throughout, even when the storyline got weak.

THEY NEED HIM

,He lost everything that meant life and joy to him. Now it was an existence only. Wanting quiet solitary life. Instead there is a woman with small children and she needs help, when her young ones are taken. Talk about a good wake up call. Someone needs help especially when they are young and helpless.. Good plot and I thought the audio narration added to the story. Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Really enjoyable story

I really enjoyed listening to this story. I liked the ending regarding the cardinal and 2 blue jays. This was a story about J. D. Colter finding the strength to move on after the tragic loss of his family and finding love again. It was well written and I liked the characters. Great story.
