About this listen

Codependency is a phenomenon that has only been recognized for about 10 years in the medical world. Initially, the disorder was identified when researchers studying interpersonal relationships between alcoholic family members began to notice similar patterns in the family of the addict. While the definition has been expanded to include individuals with chronic and mental illness, the most traditional use of the term codependency is still used to describe chemical-dependent partners as well as individuals living with or in a relationship with an addict.

In this book, Codependence in Women, you will understand the following:

  • Codependency And Women
  • Why Women Care Much?
  • Codependency In Women Begins From Parenting To Adult Stage
  • Eight Signs That You Have A Codependent Parent As A Lady
  • The Gift Of Detachment - For Women In A Relationship With An Alcoholic
  • What Is Healthy Helping And Giving
  • Six Hallmarks Of Codependence
  • When Good Intentions Aren't Enough
  • Understanding Codependent Relationships
  • How To Help A Friend Who May Be In An Abusive Relationship
  • And Many More.

This book, Codependence in Women, will enlighten you more about women. Women are historically regarded as nurturers and care-takers because of the propensity to define themselves through their relationships and to see themselves through an external lens.

Do you Know That Codependency In Women Begins From Parenting To Adult Stage?

Today, women seem more afraid than men (Women More Commitment Phobic Than Men) of romantic engagement. The survey results didn't surprise me. Women around the globe have become fiercely protective of their right to self-determination and lifestyle. I'm sure many of these women make this choice out of today's lifestyle desire alone.

You will get all you need to know in this book.

This audiobook was a game-changer for me

This audiobook was a game-changer for me. I have struggled with codependency all of my life and never knew it. You do not have to be an alcoholic or be with an alcoholic to benefit from this. My type of codependency is being a caretaker and people-pleaser, always putting myself last to the point of jeopardizing my own heart, mind, and soul. This brought so much to light and helped me open my eyes to things I was either unaware of, ignoring, or denying all together. Melody is an incredible writer and her passion for helping people out of the pit of this illness is genuine and transparent. She mixes truth, with real-life experiences and allows herself to be vulnerable with us so we can see it is okay for us to be vulnerable with ourselves and others. I have her devotional as well, and it is a God-send to help me through each day.

Reader ruins the content

The reader's tempo and tone misshape the sentence structure and make it hard to follow as a listener. Great written content, though. Too bad there isn't a physical copy of the book.
