great listen

it's just too bad it was so short. being told the story as opposed to being read a story is so much better. very great and innovative way to listen.

awesome book

Such a great book and goes historically with the code talkers. I enjoyed hearing about one man's fight through the war on a mission so secret he couldn't tell his comrades.

I loved this book

I loved this book because it was information without loosing a storyline, plot, or theme. I also enjoyed the parts where he talked to his grandchildren and how the author included Navajo words

Little Known History

Most people have heard of the Code Talkers, but few know the details of how they served. This novel is in reality more of documentary about the vital role code Talkers played in the Pacific Theater. It's a fascinating and informative story of how a people who were scorned, murdered, and cheated rose to the occasion to help the country that had been their tormentors win a war against those who would have destroyed us.
