What did you love best about Clutch Player?

I liked the freshness of the backstory throughout the book on Emily's character.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the back and for denial of Emily and Jared, as they fight their feelings through the book and finally realize how much they really care for each other in the end.

Which scene was your favorite?

The proposal was so sweet and unexpected the way Jared did it. I was swooney from it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was, even though I didn't get to do so.

Charles Lawrence once again did a fabulous job in the narration of this Kylie Gilmore book. My hats off to them both on this story. It was a really great read.

Funny & Entertaining

Jared Reynolds meets nurse Emily Maguire while helping out his brother in an emergency. He is attracted to her right off however she knows his reputation and isn't interested. Things suddenly take a funny twist and the comedy begins! Jared is just a big, caring, sweetie who ends up wanting to do the right thing. Emily is reeling from a bad relationship and just wants a good time. Their relationship is funny and very entertaining. Another great story in this enjoyable series. Charles Lawrence always adds life to the story and does an amazing job of narrating.

Where does Clutch Player rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Ok, so I am starting to sound like a broken record when it comes to another audiobook by Ms. Gilmore and her Clover Park series. I loved this one!! No surprise there, since I said that after listening to the previous story.
This story centers around Jared and Emily. Jared Reynolds is another of the Marino/Reynolds hunky brothers. He is an orthopedic surgeon and Emily an oncology Pediatric nurse. Jared is asked by his brother to cover him as Captain Cuddle (he insists he is Capt Huddle) . Capt. Cuddle wears a costume on Saturdays and entertains the hospitalized children.
He is the eternal player, she is a divorced young woman whose husband doesn’t want to accept the divorce.
These two will make you laugh, drive you crazy , at times shake them up and hug them. Of course, life steps in , after a lot of ups and downs, and they have a HEA.
The audiobook was very well done and Mr Lawrence once again excels in his delivery.
Thank you Ms Gilmore, for another fun ride.

Jared, and Emily. Both are fighting love and somehow end up together. Plus the Marino/Reynolds clan is always fun to visit

Another winner by a talented author.

Flirty and fun.

Jared is the guy to call when there's an emergency which is why his brothers call him the "clutch player". He's cool, calm and collected and happy with his reputation as a ladies man until he falls head over heels with Emily. Now he's got to convince her that he's ready to give his heart to one girl but she's just not buying it. This is a delightfully engaging romance that is wonderfully written and narrated by one of the best teams in the audio book business. Romance fans will love it just as much as I did.

Clutch Player is the 9th book in Kylie Gilmore's Clover Park Series. It can be read as a stand alone but it's more fun if you've read the other books too.

Jared Reynolds is known as "Dr. One and Done" and Emily is not looking for love after her divorce. Emily has heard of Jared's reputation and doesn't want anything to do with him. They can't deny their chemistry forever though. This is a great story that will have you rooting for this couple. I would definitely recommend this book.

What about Charles Lawrence’s performance did you like?

Charles is by far my favorite narrator!

Jared is known as "Dr one-and-done" by the nurses. Jared was hurt by someone he thought loved him and he avoids relationships to compensate. Emily has not had the best of luck with men and is trying to avoid her ex-husband and the media circus he brings with him. Jared wants a relationship with Emily, but she is not looking for anything permanent. Jared does not know how to act or what to say because, for the first time, he wants what he never had.

Great Book!

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. The narrator did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book.
