About this listen

What’s good music? Isn’t it all just a matter of opinion?

Aesthetic relativism dominates our contemporary conception of music. As classical Christian educators, how do we effectively teach Truth, Goodness, and Beauty in the midst of so much musical dissonance?

In this thought-provoking book, Dr. Steve Turley will guide you through the key features of a classical conception of music, define the major differences between classical and pop music, and show you how to teach students to love music in a profound way that makes room for both. As such, you’ll get the information you need to transform music as a sonic source of wisdom and virtue in the lives of your students.

Needs to go back to Editing

The final hour is unlistenable. Two separate and unrelated talks by the author are competing with each other for part of it, and it’s such a racket that I bailed before waiting to see if he returns to an otherwise enlightening discussion of the topic.

A lot to think about in a book

This is a good book that gives one so much too think about an to take a little step back to look at how society thanks. The only problem I have is in chapter 7 or chapter 8 it seems like the audio of one of Dr. Steve Turley YouTube videos is mix in audiobook. you have two different conversations going at the same time. What is being said I couldn't say but I still say this is so Edgar audible book if they can fix it even better.

Needs some editing

I greatly enjoyed the first quarter, but the last 3 quarters are a mis-mash of other books by Dr. Turley. I’d love to hear the rest and I look forward to a rectified version of this.
