Gripping & Heartfelt! Fantastic Story & Listen🎧

A.L. Jackson continues to wow me with another amazing novel set in her fabulous “Time River” series and I loved everything about it, from her impressive writing style to the wonderful characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire time. The characters are the stars of this book, they are easy to relate to, care about and maybe even fall a little in love with. Ezra Patterson, a widower, single dad of three, and Time River’s sheriff, is great with his young daughter and twin sons, but he is mostly a grump with others. Savannah Ward comes to Time River hoping to find her missing sister and is following leads from a journal she received from an anonymous sender, possibly her sister. In her car staking out a place mentioned in the journal, well, actually just sleeping, someone calls the cops on her because she is on private property. Ezra startles her awake and takes her to the sheriff’s office, but instead of arresting her for trespassing he lets her stay there overnight and tells her there is a job waiting for her at the diner. Since she plans on staying for a while, she takes the job and fits right in there and with the townfolk. Ezra took a liking to her and felt protective of her, even offered her his guest house, which she was hesitant to accept. After an incident at the motel she is staying out, he convinces her to take it. And his kids were darlings, his daughter with her notes just melted my heart. They all welcomed her and were happy to have her around. Savanah is afraid to share the reason she was in Time River for because she was not sure who she could trust. Ezra had his own secrets, a failed marriage and guilt that he could not save his wife, but he vows to find out what really happened to her. I love watching these two dance around each other, the chemistry between them was undeniable and they could only deny it for so long. They had their reasons, but when they finally give in to it, it was magical. When Savannah gets a warning to leave town, she does the opposite, and it gets her in deep trouble, can the hot cop save his little trespasser? This wonderfully plotted story has plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some charming moments to lighten things up, some mystery, twists, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. I loved all the layers and the complexity of the story, and it all played out, especially by the end when all the pieces all fell into place. It was great to see the characters from the earlier books too. A.L. Jackson, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧 📚🎧  Desireè Ketchum and Zachary Webber did an amazing job portraying these characters, giving each their own voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. Ketchum was fabulous as Savannah, grasping all aspects of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her strength and all in between, while Webber did the same as Ezra, the overprotective, sometimes broody sheriff. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters and their voices for the children were just adorable. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance enhances this brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen. 

Favorite in this series!!

Ezra and Savannah were everything! Loved this so much. The narrators were amazing as well. The suspense kept me hanging on every page. Read this series. Time River is one of my favorite book small towns!

This audiobook was everything!

Okay this book was so freaking good from start to finish. There’s just something about AL Jackson’s writing that has me hooked. Before this series I hadn’t read anything from this author and that will quickly change because I want to read everything she puts out.

Ezra and Savannah’s chemistry was too good. I loved how Ezra was so protective over her from the beginning. I felt really bad for them both with them dealing with so much from their past. They both just needed each other to cope with everything that was going on. I just fell in love with Olivia, Oliver and Owen. Ezra’s kids just made me fall in love with Ezra’s character even more. I can say he’s definitely my favorite. Loved this everything wrapped up for them both.

I loved the way AL Jackson just writes these characters and makes you fall in love with them. The way these characters are just there for each other at the end of the day just makes me want to move to Time River. I’m excited to say I’m excited for this series to continue.

THIS IS A MUST READ

There is no guessing the twist in this book. Seriously!! Ezra is multifaceted. He's the perfect dad, great Sheriff, and caring friend. Of course, let's not forget all the hotness and alpha deliciousness. Right from the start I was rooting for him to "get the girl". Savannah is the perfect match. She's just the right amount of sass for him. The depth of every character in this book is mind-boggling. I listened to this book on Audible- the narrators are fantastic. You don't lose the flow of the story when switching between other characters. The emotion in their voices pulled me in from the start.

AL Jackson is one of my ultimate favorite authors. She writes the stories that has all the feels and more!!

Small town, romantic suspense with all the close proximity!

3.5 stars. Claim Me Forever is the 3rd book in the Time River series, which I have been loving! This is a small town, single dad, close proximity, romantic suspense. The audiobook is narrated spectacularly by Zachary Webber and Desiree Ketchum!

Savannah ends up getting arrested for trespassing on private property when the story starts. Ezra is the sheriff in town and feels pulled to wanting to help her right away. He even finds her a place to stay and gets her a job! Ezra is a major cinnamon roll hero who just wants to protect and take care of her.

“Everyone deserves a safe place Savannah. Let me be yours. Even if it’s only for a little while.”

After a few more run-ins and things start happening to her, he asks her to move into the guest house on his property. Ezra is a single dad to his 3 little kiddos and has some hurt from his past he’s still kinda working through. Savannah has secrets as well for why she’s in town and what exactly she keeps get caught trying to look into. These two tortured souls find healing with one another, which was sweet. This one also definitely has a strong romantic suspense element to it! While I didn’t love this one as much as I did the first two in the series, this was still a good addition to the series.

mystery and romance, I loved it! it'll leave you wanting more. I was left wanting a man like him.

Favorite in this series

Heavy on the romantic suspense. There are two mysteries trying to be solved. I loved the meet cute and the nickname the mmc Sheriff gives the fmc, little trespasser. Their chemistry was fantastic and he was incredibly grumbly.

Audio review: Desiree Ketchum and Zachary Weber were fantastic. They really brought me into the story and allowed me to get lost in the story and want to listen to one more chapter. They’re equally great and changing up their tone and intonation to change up when they are a different character.

I enjoyed the story

I enjoyed the story- there were a few point that seemed to get lost or had a hard time understanding the significance.. the “spicy” parts were just ok. I felt at times they were a bit forced. Overall it had a good story line and I enjoyed getting to know the characters.

Ezra & Savannah. Heartbreaking & Sweet

This was such a good book. Ezra and Savannah's story was so twisty and sad at times. But it was tied up pretty well at the end, so youre really only left wondering about some of the side characcharacters "whats next". Little Olivia was my very favorite. I listen to the audio version because I can't sit still enough to enjoy reading. Narrated by Zachary Webber specifically, he brought her to life and I couldn't get enough of her in this story. Aside from her, the book was fantastic as well. Great narration. The only thing I felt was lacking is that it's not real clear when the female character is reading a journal entry, there's nothing to say it's a journal entry ahead of reading it. There's not a distinct enough difference between the narrators voice between reading entries and the rest of the story. I can't wait to get into the next book in the series and I hope to hear more about some of the side characters in this one that I became invested into.
