good story, great characters, on point dialog
A good modern supernatural fantasy brought to life in an entertaining way. Great world building presented through the lens of the characters. Love how realistic the dialog, external and internal, is and how it plays out in an informal fashion.

A good start to a paranormal series.
I enjoyed this book. The characters were well thought out and the story flowed at a decent pace. I like the magical mechanics of the world and am ready to see the sequel to know more of how everything works.

Great!
The author gets her hooks in deep early on. i literally could not stop listening, putting it on every chance I had. Then she leaves you yearning for more of this world's lore and hope for more adventures of the heroines to come.

so much to say but let me start by recommending this action packed story. There is so much left untold and I'm excited to see what becomes of Emily. Lots of power and potential there from both sides of her family. Also more on valkyrie. If you know... you know! Great Narrator, too. 5 stars all round.
