About this listen

Meg Channing is on the run from her home in Boston. She's on her way to a new life - until a horrific train crash strands her in Wylder just days before Christmas.

Tate Taylor's waiting on a shipment of explosives for his mining business. When the Union Pacific train carrying them derails, he hightails it to the site, hoping the whole town isn't blown to smithereens.

Just as they find happiness, secrets from both their pasts threaten to tear them apart. Wylder is safe - but are their hearts?

A train derailment brings two people together.

December 14, 1880
Tate Taylor has come back to Wylder to open a mining store. He’s trying to avoid the woman who saved his life that he fell in love with years before. Tate is waiting on a shipment of supplies from the train. Meg Channing is running away from her extremely strict and abusive father. Her plan is to become the type of woman he’s accused her of being. Meg becomes a member of the train derailment near Wylder. Tate rescues Meg from a burning train car and takes her home to recover, where they’ll spend Christmas in Wylder.
Sarita Leone writes her second Christmas story for the Wylder series. Christmas in Wylder revolves around a secondary character from the story A Wylder Christmas. A man returns to Wylder determined to open a mining supply store and trying to avoid the woman who he’d fallen in love with after she saved his life during the Civil War. When he saves two women from the train derailment his feelings for one of them just may change his thinking. A woman running from a strict abusive father must learn fast how to maneuver through unfamiliar situations. Christmas in Wylder has a little bit of danger, some passion and attraction that just may lead to love between a man and woman who are looking for a second chance in life. A Wylder second chance magic story that has a Christmas magic mixed in. Two people will figure out love just may be the answer to their new lives. Sarita Leone’s Christmas in Wylder brings back familiar character and introduces new ones for her next book in the Wylder West series. A little timeline problem with when it should take place. The derailment in another book is in 1879 and in this book and another Christmas holiday book released this season are 1880. It’s just something this reader noticed while reading the Wylder series.
Dawson McBride as always does a great job of making the listener feel like they're back in the late 1800s in the wild west.

Love visiting Wylder

It's been too long since I last visited Wylder and I am so glad to have the chance to go back! Meg has run away. Finally breaking free from an abusive father, she sets out on the train to nowhere. She's looking for a place far away from home and knows she will realize where it should be when she gets there. But unfortunate circumstances bring her to Wylder, saved by Tate and taken to his house to recuperate. There is definite magic in the air with these two, but is this her forever home? Will her father find her and drag her back? What an exciting story! From the first riveting scene, I could not stop listening. The imagery, the excitement and tragedy all dragged me into the story and wouldn't let go. Meg is an interesting character. A little hesitant, she finds her footing and realizes what she may have found in Wylder. Tate is a wonderful man. He is caring and will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Secondary characters bring deception, friendship and loyalty to the story keeping this town one of my favorites to visit.

Dawson McBride. Do I need to say more? His narration of this series is phenomenal. This book he creates characters with his voices that are so accurate to their personalities, you would think they are all different actors portraying them. I love his story telling and always look forward to his performances.
