About this listen

"The ideal presentation of any book of mine is to have excellent actors perform it in audio-only format." - Orson Scott Card

This program is read by Stefan Rudnicki and a full cast including Emily Rankin, Kirby Heyborne, Orson Scott Card, P.J. Ochlan, Gabrielle de Cuir, Richard Gilliland, Kristoffer Tabori, and Judy Young.

From Orson Scott Card, award-winning and Best-selling author of Ender's Game, his first solo Enderverse audiobook in years.

Children of the Fleet is a new angle on Card's Best-selling series, telling the story of the Fleet in space, parallel to the story on Earth told in the Ender's Shadow series.

Ender Wiggin won the Third Formic war, ending the alien threat to Earth. Afterwards, all the terraformed Formic worlds were open to settlement by humans, and the International Fleet became the arm of the Ministry of Colonization, run by Hirum Graff. MinCol now runs Fleet School on the old Battle School station, and still recruits very smart kids to train as leaders of colony ships, and colonies.

Dabeet Ochoa is a very smart kid. Top of his class in every school. But he doesn't think he has a chance at Fleet School, because he has no connections to the Fleet. That he knows of. At least until the day that Colonel Graff arrives at his school for an interview.

Perfect pairing

OSC writes kids so clearly and honestly.. but when you add Rudnicki's performance... perfection once again. His deep baritone would be the last you would likely cast, but he recites with an innonce that emotes wonder. Thank you both!

YA all the way

Maybe I was younger when I read the Enders Game cycle. This book is definitely targeted towards a younger, more talented audience..

enjoyable but not the best

I really enjoyed this book. Dabeed just isn't as interesting or enjoyable as either bean or ender. the side characters aren't as good as those you get in other enderverse series. except monkey. she is awesome.

Good study but much too long

The story is excellent. The details are excruciating in their length. Editing would have improved the book.

Not worth it

Gave it a chance despite some of the bad reviews. Mediocre story that was ok in the beginning and got boring and repetitive as it went on.

Excellent Story & Production!

Card did a phenomenal job on another Ender series story. The inclusion (or mention) of Ender, Bean and Ashiel in the story tied everything together nicely. Well Done!!!

Worth the read

If you are a fan of. Olson Scott Card's writing and style and enjoyed Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow books you will enjoy this book. While it is well written and a good read, if you are looking for something different from his previous Endervirse books this is not it.

Not as Good

I didn’t really find myself interested in the characters like I normally do Card books. Debeet was a jerk from the start, never really changed or endeared himself to the reader.

IMPORTANT vote up. help defend Orson Scott Card

Please leave a review on Amazon also, becuse this book is beaing targeted by fake and politically motivated reviewe's.

On Amazon it has bin dragd down to 3.7 stars while here on audible it has 4.4 stars.

Her on Audible people can rate it whitout writing a review, so the fake reviews get crowned, but on Amazon this book only have 117 reviews because it is more work for us to write a review and they can write a review whitout buy it.

p.s English is not my first language.
