About this listen

White-hot, blinding, and dangerous.

That's exactly what Volt is.

He's electric.

The first time I met him, my body reacted. It coiled, sizzled, and sparked. I knew I wanted him because he was the first man to make me feel dead and alive at the exact same time.

But within a short conversation, I knew he was unattainable.

Unavailable.

Now we're just friends.

But will we stay friends?

Charge

What did you like best about this story?

The attraction between Volt and Taylor is evident and the story hooks you and reels you in till the end, you find yourself second guessing the story line as you work your way through the book to be surprised that it wasn't round the corner, frustrating at times and left wide open for the next book.

3.5~~~

If you're looking for an enjoyable easy listen then you will like Charge. It's the first in a series, I wouldn't say cliffhanger ending but things definitely need to be sorted between the main characters. It's a friends to lovers story that really has potential to be great, but I felt there was not enough for this book to hold weight on it's own. The two main characters decide to only be friends since they are both looking for different things. At the beginning I did feel that spark between them but since most of the book they are exploring other relationships it sort of fizzled. I needed more of that "charge" I was expecting based on the blurb. With that said I did enjoy the story and both narrators were really good. They both gave each character their own voice. I would listen to more books narrated by both.

Love

I'm so glad I was able to get the chance to listen to Charge. if I never would have listened to Charge I never would have met Volt or listened to Michael Ferraiuolo! Lia Langola never disappoints me. she definitely a narrator I'll gladly listen to if I'm.ever searching for a book. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher

fabulous!

I loved this book. I love the characters and the instant connection I felt to them. I loved the writing and the story. the narration was fabulous. the only thing that I can think of that could easily be improved, is the scene breaks, there should be a longer pause so you know there is a scene break. I found myself backing it up and wondering what I missed a few times. it just jumped to another scene. I can't wait to get to the next book spark.

FEMALE NARRATOR RUINED THIS SERIES FOR ME

Any additional comments?

I must finish the series but I won't post a review for all four books. This story could have been really good but the female narrator was not good at all. It is a struggle getting through at times. I have heard worst but not with a book that I really wanted to love. Male narrator was the only reason I was able to push through. Give it a try maybe I'm being dramatic and you may enjoy her over the top robotic narration.

Sweet and Sexy

I feel like this is more of a serial than a series as it's not so much a cliffhanger as it just ends and picks up in book 2.

Taylor is a new teacher that is extremely pragmatic, logical and... not unemotional, but very rational. Volt is a man who has been hurt and buries it deep, never letting anyone see. This makes them electric friends. Instantly clicking but Taylor has no desire to be a one night stand and Volt has no desire for a relationship, so they friend zone each other from the start... and it works. Until it doesn't.

I loved this story. I fell in love with Volt and can relate to Taylor. There is a sub plot that runs along side with a struggling kid and I am dying to find out what comes of that. I just really enjoyed it and the hours flew by as I listened.

The narration was fantastic. Lia Langola was the perfect choice for a character with this personality as her voice is steady and assured. I felt Michael did a great job, I only wished his voice had a little bit more of that alpha male quality that I can imagine Volt's voice having. But it wasn't distracting and I still loved it all the same.

Definitely credit worthy, just be prepared to spend quite a few credits on one serial.

This is a must read!

Naming the series Electric is an understatement. There is so much electricity between Taylor and Volt. The sexual tension between them is intense. I found myself yelling at them to admit it to each other. But I can understand not wanting to lose a best friend. Volt was deeply gutted and does not want a relationship, he just wants to have fun. Taylor wants a boyfriend, but has been hurt as well. These two make a great pair. I really enjoyed the banter between them. The pages steam up during those really hot scenes. This book was so good, I devoured it in one day and I had to read the next book in the series immediately.

Lia Langola and Michael Ferraiuolo are a perfect team for this story. Ms. Langola narrates both Taylor and Volt amazingly. She is able to bring out Taylor's strong and independent side. Ms. Langola narrates with such emotion that it was easy to relate to the struggles of the characters. As for those steamy scenes, Ms. Langola can ignite the fire with her masterful narration and sultry voice. Michael Ferraiuolo narrates Volt with ease. Mr. Ferraiuolo brings life to Volt. Volt is scorned and Mr. Ferraiuolo brings out the struggles Volt faces. I enjoy the flexibility of Mr. Ferraiuolo's tones to narrate female characters smoothly. I love this narrating team. Their voices are compliments to each other and makes the story flow smoothly.

you have to wait and buy another book

It seems to me that the author paded this book with the same kinds of thoughts of you I think I like her, but I can't commit to a relationship now, what am I going to do too many times so that there would be another book to but. the story wasn't that compelling that I would want to buy whatever is next in this series .It could've have all been resolved in one book in my humble opinion
