About this listen

In the final story of the Summer Palace Series, Wiley Breuder uses his influence to relocate his family to their original destination and find themselves at Cavalier House in Saxony.

This pivotal story takes place during The Great. Northern War involving Sweden, Russia, Poland, and Saxony. Entire villages are crushed, countries shift allegiances, and borders change at the whim of the invading forces.

Incredible obstacles still face Wiley and Katia and their family, as they make their way to the homeland of his father.

#4 of 4, Series concludes

Katia, Wiley, their children and grandchildren relocate to Saxony and international conflict continues to give their family challenges. This family saga is rich in Eastern European history, providing an informed backdrop to the current war in Ukraine. The author has developed as an author through the series and offers and engaging and thrilling ride through the area. While Poland, Russia, Ukraine and a war with Sweden might not seem of interest to a traditional Regency Romance reader, give this series a try. It has the same ethos, just a different location and historic political setting.

a contented sigh ❤️

this was the last installment of the story of a baron's daughter - Katia, and a stable boy - Wiley... and what a journey it's been... I loved this book just as much as I loved the rest of the series...

Katia and Wiley finally realise their dreams together, and reach the place they will call home forever... with them is their whole extended family... and... they become grandparents... a contented sigh ❤️

it's amazing how the author has woven this saga of the Breuder family with historical events...

The series has gotten Better and Better

Book four is just as good as the rest of the series! A good solid stand-alone, even better read in series. I’m truly sad to see the end of this one, how I have delighted in this epic saga, the adventures, wars, and family tribulations. In this last book, Wiley finally settles his family into a permanent home, and the extended family and those that have become family through the years begin to settle into their future as well. The gentle goodbyes to life as warriors and hellos to new families and new beginnings are made in the final turn of the last pages. The hours I’ve spent with the magnificent narrator have made me feel as though he has become an old friend. The true talent of S Forrest Nomakeo comes to light as I began the next book, a completely different genre. Be sure too so as well, you will be more than pleased!
