I see why this series is so popular in paperback!!

Would you listen to Caught Dead in Philadelphia again? Why?

This is a smart thriller but it takes a while through the first book to see it. I always wonder who puts up the reviews of "1st" books to a series that say this same thing but this is an intelligent book with a great ending that isn't visible until the last 5 chapters. I like that!! I have high hopes for the next dozen books or so! Keep in mind this book was written before cell phones were ubiquitous (1987 I think)! But aside from cell phone technology it is very current and exciting!

What did you like best about this story?

The bounce between whether or not the protagonist and the heroine will get together is fun!!!

What about Diane Warren’s performance did you like?

She is a great audio performer - there are few better (Amanda Ronconi and Lorelei King are the only two that are as good or slightly better!)

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, however, I work for a living so it took me almost 3 days. That means I listened every minute I wasn't working (60 hours a week as an Architect), torturing middle-school children (mother of 3, ugh), doing laundry (my penance for not being a billionaire) or cleaning everything (part of being human - even though I have a weekly housekeeper)!!!

Any additional comments?

It was very slow at first but after the first few hours it was totally worth it.
