Underdogs of the world unite! Story has some enjoyable characters, most of the best ones are societies underdogs. Give it a try.

Awesome

Really great work and the story kept me engaged from beginning to end but i do have to say that until literally the last moment i didn't see how the MC would wim the throne because until that moment i thought that while the character was well done and likeable he was useless in combat and political maneuvers but i will definitely buy the next book in the series

Great storytelling

Very interesting storyline really liked the characters. Another interesting story from this author that stands out amongst all similar stories of the genre.

Anya Merchant is one of my favorite authors. Castle Town was an absolute treat to listen to. I highly recommend if you like forbidden romance.

All her books are a great read. My fourth series from her and as good as all the rest. A+

S-Tier Female Narration

For the rest of the series, please let Hannah do all the narration with Giancarlo doing only the male dialog. She's a literal virtuoso. Click "Helpful" if you agree.

This author's secret sauce is his to ability dial down the inherent cringe factor of the genre with believable lifelike character interactions. It's a magic trick to make this guilty fun accessible to cringe sensitive listeners. The voice and performance of the female narrator is crucial to selling the magic trick. Male narration of erotic scenes just doesn't work as well.

Another start to a great series...

I have been reading or listening to all Anya's books and find them engaging and exciting. My only complaint with Castle Town' is having to wait for the next book. I highly recommend this series...
