Surprised!

I have been really enjoying this series and I never know what is going to happen next with Andy. I did not see this coming and I love a good plot twist! The more we follow Andy and his family the more there is to learn. I think listening to this as an audiobook made it even better. I couldn't wait to discuss it with my book bestie, she'd finished it before I got to it.

The detective acts very stupid.

Up until this fifth book I had been enjoying this serial killer thriller series. However, Detective Andy Winslow in this book acts like he is incapable of investigating anything! Something unfair happens to him, and instead of being logical and solving the issue, he wallows in his emotions for weeks. He couldn’t even be bothered to do an internet search. Andy could have spent just one hour remembering details about that day and making a list, and he would have had a real list of suspects to crack the case. I found Andy’s stupidity and inaction so infuriating that I stopped listening to the book several times. At least the climax of the book was exciting, surprising, and made enough sense for this imaginative series. I will still keep reading the series because I want to know what happens with another story arc.

The narrator did an excellent job. He is great with all the characters, emotions, and bringing the text to life. I love his charming gravelly voice. Although the accents aren’t authentic South Carolina accents, I am okay with it because the narrator does a great job with everything else.

Fully entertaining

This took me on a trip I did not expect. While still good and fully entertaining I did feel a little let down just because it was not about his brother and his shenanigans. The storyline itself was excellent as I was shocked and surprised at all that happened. That ending….just wow! The epilogue makes me want the next one soon! Eric Fox is superb as the narrator and always a joy to listen to as he takes me through the tale.

Heartstopping!!!

Loving this series written by Mark Stone!! This book had my heart beating ninty to nothing. I kept getting completely frustrated for Detective Andy Winslow! Nothing seemed to go right this time. Totally had me guessing to the end. I absolutely can't wait for the next audiobook. Will we get to see Lucky John again!?!

Eric Fox is an excellent narrator! He voices both male and female characters perfectly. He had this audiobook rolling like a movie in my head. Perfection.

Entertaining!

This is the fifth book in the Lowcountry Crimes series. I love this series. The story is captivating and entertaining, full of unexpected twists and turns. Eric Fox did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I loved it. I can't wait to read the next book. #PFPAudio

the crazy stuff Andy can find himself in!

The crazy stuff Andy can find himself in is mind boggling! I got to say I did not see that culprit coming! The moment I realized something was up with someone not on my radar until that point, I think my eyes widened in real life. All the new developments and secrets revealed, as well as all the action and suspense, kept my attention gripped. Narration brought the characters to life. I wonder what will happen next...

Great Story!

I love this series and I didn’t see that ending coming! Andy is a good guy, but everyone seems to be out to get him and he can’t seem to catch a break! I also enjoy the supporting characters in this book and am always glad they are brought back for each book.  I can’t wait for the next audiobook in this series.  Eric Fox is fantastic as the narrator.
