Greed. Power. Sin. It all comes with the gavel. Blurs the lines between church and state. But the Knightdale Charter of the Satan's Knights MC is my life. And I'd do anything for this club. Like letting the best woman I ever had slip through my fingertips. A sinfully beautiful spitfire, she's my better half in every way. My twin flame. My everything. My biggest regret. I was used to doing things alone, just me and my trusty dog, Duke. We were a solo team ever since my partner retired and I transferred over to the K-9 unit. Duke was the best police officer I'd ever worked with, and the only male I needed in my life. That was until Travis Cooper, beefcake firefighter, caught a job I'm looking into. He was first on the scene of a major arson, and because we each had a unique set of skills, the brass thought it would be a good idea for us to work together. I'll never forget the first time he looked into my eyes and said, "You're in over your head, girl scout."

My life just hit the skids, hard. After a drug scandal blew up in my face, I’m out of a team, my endorsements are gone, and my bank account’s pretty much empty. So now I’m stuck trying to sell my house to scrape together some cash. The kicker? I’ve got to work with Paige Anderson, the real estate agent with a smile that could light up a room—and the woman I made a complete fool of myself with not too long ago.

My favorite by Mark Stone... so far.
I do not read/listen to much outside of my favorite genre, romance, but I am enjoying these books by Mark Stone. This is the second book in this series. It's a great standalone, but I believe I was more invested in Andy by having listened to book one. I love his character. This had a great suspenseful storyline that had me guessing to the end. I look forward to the next book in this series!
Eric Fox is an excellent narrator. He voiced both male and female characters with an emotional performance that it rolled like a movie in my head. Perfection!

I was thoroughly intrigued from the beginning
So I'm a romance reader...therefore although I was very interested in this story after reading the blurb, admittedly I wasn't sure how it would go over. I was thoroughly intrigued from the beginning. The crimes to solve and twists and turns kept my mind engaged. I enjoyed the story and am very interested in listening to book 3 and going back to book 1. The narrator brought the characters to life, using accents and everything.

Thoroughly entertaining and gripping thriller!
I highly recommend this one for fans of detective mystery/thrillers. This audiobook is book #2 in the series, which needs to be read in order. I really like Detective Andy Winslow, who recently moved back to his home town of Charleston, SC. He’s a good guy. This time he is hunting another serial killer with his partner Kay. The violence is graphic but very brief. No sexual content. The point of view is first person only from Andy. Great tension and plot. All of the minor characters are vibrant and memorable too. All of this combined so that I couldn’t stop listening to this entertaining thriller.
The narrator Eric Fox did a very good job. Although his accents sound more like Oklahoma than South Carolina, I really enjoyed his expressive and gravelly voice, which reminds me of the great actor Brian Cranston. Eric Fox was very good at making the characters sound distinctive. He really brought Andy Winslow and the whole book to life, and I am looking forward to the next in the series.
I requested and received a free audio copy via the publisher, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #TheFlockVIPReviewTeam #NorthernLakeAudio

Just when you think you know, you don't!
Wow...I really love the twists and turns in these books. Since moving home Detective Andy Winslow has had to deal with everyone recognizing him and trying to find how he fits in. When he's finally getting things sorted a case that could be another serial killer lands in his lap. I can't wait to see what happens next. I am really hoping he'll get a HEA and I'm trying to figure out if that's with someone new or someone we've met! Keeping me guessing and intrigued all the way through. Audiobook narrated by Eric Fox was done very well.

Quite the trip!
Another wonderfully written story in this series! I was wondering where the author would go after the last one. This storyline was completely unexpected and I enjoyed every second. The characters are well rounded and colorful. Andy of course is the star but he has a handful of coworkers and friends that help him to figure this one out. I was shocked a few times and just agog over one incident.
I am loving this series and looking forward to more. I did listen to this on audio. Eric Fox is the narrator and does a wonderful job with the large cast that seems to congregate in here.

Entertaining!
This is the second book in the Lowcountry Crimes Series, a murder mystery. Andy Winslow, a Detective, is an interesting character. The plot is well crafted, and intriguing, filled with mystery, and twists and turns. Eric Fox did an excellent job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Carolina Monster, the next book in the series. I like Mark Stone's writing. #PFPAudio

Love Andy Winslow!
This was my first Mark Stone book and I thought it was great. I loved Andy Winslow and all of the supporting characters. I didn’t listen to the first book, but this book gave me enough background about him and his twin brother so I felt like I didn’t need to listen to it before listening to this one. This was a good mystery and I felt myself going back and forth trying to figure out who was the murderer. I did wish that Andy could finally have his life back – maybe someday. Eric Fox is a new narrator to me and did a great job on this story. He was great on all of the voices and made the story awesome to listen to! I look forward to the next book in the series.
