About this listen

The unforgettable story of a young English lady and the warrior who saves her from sure death, a woman and a man from different worlds, two bold hearts who find passion in a divided land and swear to love each other forever.

“I am so in love with her books every spare minute has been spent reading them since I found the first one! 3 books in and it's this one that is my favorite so far, I love The Raven!”—Melody Banks

Raven watches with his younger brother Takooko through the trees near the Susquehanna River as the enemy Mohawk war party heads north in several canoes with their captive, the white girl with the fire hair, paddling hard in the last canoe. The two Lenni-Lenape warriors have been tracking the Mohawk war party for hours to make sure they will not turn back and attack again. Lady Tess Morgan, the captive in the canoe, tries hard to put out of her mind how these savages attacked her carriage, kidnapped her and her cousin Joselyn, and tortured and murdered poor Joselyn. When we get to the bend in the river I’ll make my move. Watching her from the far bank of the river, Raven chuckles, “I think she will jump, brother.” He cocks the trigger of his most prized possession, an English Brown Bess musket, and takes aim. “It will be fun to teach these dogs a lesson.”

“Really enjoyed this book! First one I have read by this author. Will most definitely read more. She had me captivated since the start, and it only got better as each page I turned. I am a big Indian Romance non fiction reader and really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of her books.”—Linda Motes

“This book shows how love and determination conquers all! Raven and Tess were two strong characters that fought for each other and saved each other at different times. They refused to give up on their love. I also enjoyed and admired Raven's mother Dream Women. She was willing to fight and love a much older man no matter what others said. Would recommend this book.”—Avery, Kindle edition
