Publisher's summary
CAPITAL FALLING 4—SEVER—Their sanctuary was hard-fought, but could the cost to remain, be unimaginable—Against ferocious odds, Andy Richards managed to fight his way through the viral outbreak that decimated London, escaping a city of undead creatures. Now, he and his children have found sanctuary at a beachside village in Devon, and long-forgotten hope begins to return . . . but is it truly time to relax? Despite having made it through zombie hoards and sinister military factions, they cannot yet let their guard down.
Mentally and physically altered by his experiences, Andy needs time to collect himself, but will the authorities allow it? Can humankind afford his absence from a struggle that could see the end of humanity itself?
Powerful forces are drawing him back and personal ties weigh heavily... Andy must act, for the stakes continue to escalate and a shuddering reckoning draws closer.
------SEVER, the thrilling return to CAPITAL FALLING—and a standout series in the genre—will bend the mind with wicked ease and terrify to the core.
PRAISE FOR CAPITAL FALLING Like a bar of chocolate, you can't put it down until it’s finished! The Best of the Best! Unstoppable Capital Falling, you won't be able to put it down.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Three months ago, Tansy Bloom quit monster hunting. Since then, she’s been trying to live a normal life (whatever that means), but ending up single, unemployed, and living on a boat outside her godfather’s pub definitely wasn’t part of the plan. So, when Tansy’s ex-husband – fellow monster hunter Rex Barclay – turns up like a bad penny and asks for her help with his latest investigation, Tansy reluctantly agrees. At first, the job appears to be a straightforward monster hunt – following a spate of large creature sightings, Rex believes a werewolf is on the loose in Norfolk.

In their quest they drilled too deeply, releasing a long-forgotten evil that’s been terrorizing the planet. Story
Novice pilot John McNeal didn't know what he wanted to do with his life, but he was sure being ripped out of his world hadn't ever been an option. After flying through a mysterious portal and crash landing on a strange alien world, John's rescued by members of a group he thought only existed in fiction; the Lost Boys. Like most, John was familiar with the story of Peter Pan and Hook and Neverland, and like most, the idea of never growing up, clashing with pirates, and flying, was more than a little intriguing.

Nicholas Hughes has broken a rule. The rule. But that might be the least of his worries. Expulsion from a program for mystical anthropology and arcane semiotics is probably nothing compared to a premature and violent death. On the other hand, the only person who is offering to help is a stranger he just met, and David Cruz comes with his own set of complications: a curse of lineage that lurks in the blood.

Getting assassinated sucks. Just ask Thomas, a man from Earth who made a few too many enemies. Or you could ask Lucian, the crown prince of another world who met a similar fate. But if you were to ask either of them, then you'd actually be asking the same man, as Thomas' soul was crammed into Lucian's body during their simultaneous assassinations. The Goddess who reincarnated him didn't do it for free, though. She tasked Lucian with the simple quest of saving the Almekian Kingdom from the brink of collapse.

In an alternative 2011, the Mental Parity movement takes hold. Americans now embrace the sacred, universal truth that there is no such thing as variable human intelligence. Because everyone is equally smart, discrimination against purportedly dumb people is ""the last great civil rights fight."" Tests, grades, and employment qualifications are all discarded. Children are expelled for saying the S-word (“stupid”) and encouraged to report parents who use it at home.

The series was good until..
…the badass SAS soldier passes out from gory sights. He passed out!! From Gory sights, mind you, he says that he’s seen much worse in his long career. That’s only one of many episodes where he feels “faint”. At least he only passed out once. I can’t tolerate a main character who is so flawed. This is the first (and I hope last) time in a zombie apocalypse where the main character passed out. That’s it for me!
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
