Love scary mysterious plot?

I love a plot seeped in a real historical mystery. What happened? Where does the elusive creature come from? What happens to the amazing characters in a frozen wasteland, and how do they cope? This is another exceptional supernatural horror must read by Timothy Bryan.

Something Evil Lurking in the Mist

A fascinating detailed fantasy-horror combined with believable characters, mystery, and action-packed scenes. I've enjoyed several of Timothy Bryan's audiobooks, but "By Their Cold Fingers" is now on my list of favorites.
As Jonathan Waters brilliantly narrates this intense and well-written story, I found myself intrigued by the author's imagination. This page turner is set in Greenland during the 1400s, where Viking-like settlers are not only struggling to survive in a harsh, freezing climate, where food is scarce, but also an unrelenting evil creature that is hunting them, one by one.
All throughout the story, I was mostly drawn to the two main characters, Erik and Kristian. The relationship between father and son gives the reader a sense of an emotional bonding that no matter what they come up against, nothing can break it.
I highly recommend this fantastic audiobook to all lovers of horror fiction, supernatural thrillers, and great storytelling. BRAVO 👏 I enjoyed this audible so much, I'm purchasing the book!

You'll be on the edge of your seat until the very

I wasn't sure what to expect after recieving this ARC but once I pushed play, I was transported to another time on a nail biting journey filled with danger, excitement & unrequited love. The characters are multifaceted, and the author paints a vivid picture with his words. It was so interesting and well written, I just couldn't stop listening. I would definitely recommend this audiobook to anyone who likes suspense, thrillers, horror & action adventure.

What happened to the Icelandic colonists in 10th century Greenland?

After 400 years of prosperity, they colonists disappeared. Some said climate change or raiders, others suggested Black Plague. It’s still a mystery, but here is a frightening possibility.

They were predatory, deadly, and they hibernated through the coldest winters to return to eat when hunger woke them

Their naked skin was a translucent blue-white and they had no features, just slits for eyes, nose, and ears. But man, did they have teeth!! And claws too. They lived in caves and built fires for warmth. They planned their attacks on people, and they were carnivorous.

Whether they really were the cause of the disappearance of the colonies or not, you’ll be convinced they were!

Monsters in Greenland

Set in Greenland in 1408, this is a well-written book based on Norse mythology. Times are hard and the struggle for living in the harsh environment are bad enough. Then people start disappearing and shamans and religious leaders are mysteriously killed and the small Eastern settlement has to decide if it is time to leave their beloved homeland.

The author has created a tense atmosphere with the unrelenting cold and mist, along with the horrific creatures stalking the residents. The back story of Kristian and Sigri added another element to the tale, making the characters seem more real. All in all, this was an enjoyable read if you like horror filled with tense atmospheric feelings.

The epilogue added a B-movie vibe to the book and I am glad that the author added it. Even though I had only recently read this book, listening to the audiobook made a great book even better. The narrator did an amazing job and his different voices and pacing added a lot to an already wonderful book. I was given the chance to listen to this audiobook by the author and chose to review it.

Bad book and bad narrator

As a narrator, Mr. Waters, comes across as stiff and wooden. The plot of this book sounded good. However, the book itself, is bad. TBH, I didn't finish the book. I got as far and chapter 4 and couldn't go any further. There is very little of the "monster" in the beginning. It's mostly about a bunch of men who think they are better than each other, talk down to each other, engage in posturing and a unhappily married woman. All that, along with the stilted and wooden narration, just made is a bad book for me. I would NOT recommend this book, even if it is cheaply priced.
