Didn’t like the narrator

This would probably be better with a different narrator. She is too slow and breathy for me personally. I wish she was a bit more upbeat and excited. Dnf around 80% done

Love it!

A good slow burn RH with gentle development of characters. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

A great story…

This was a great read! Everything you would be looking for in a slow burn why choose. When Claire first meets her triad she has no idea who they will be to her. This first book takes you through her coming into her own while also showing you more about the world they live in and what’s to come. Narration was well done too. I’m always amazed when one narrator handles a whole book. Can’t wait to dig into the next one!

liked the story. narration Is a little slow at 100. I upped it to 110. would be better with dual narration.

Loved it 😍

The characters are very likable especially Claire. The academy reminds me somewhat of Hogwarts. The storyline held my interest with the mystery behind Claire’s background and her powers. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Wow just wow

I knew I was gonna enjoy this book but I was still unprepared for how much.
Every character for so perfectly and complemented each other and the story so well. I love love this book.

Loved the story, cannot wait to listen to the next book.
Just extremely frustrating to listen to the narrator. Sounded like a robot that read the story.

Narrators make or break a book

This narrator almost had me turn the book back in but the story was just that good. I hope the next books narrator is better or if it's the same person they have gotten better. She narratored so dryly.

Finally!! A Story with a blind main character!!

A warrm, yet, dark story of magic, growing love and a totally unique different perscective. I loved this read and can't wait for the next one. I had a patron and friend recommend this to me in a discussion we were having about characters in fantasy that might have a disability or visual impairment and they recommended this one. I was immediately intrigued and so had to grab. Now, I'm waiting to snag number 2, because I want to see where this goes, how the triad grows, and Clare as a fourth, how this develops. Sunny Hart knocked it out of the park with her character development, and can't stop story. I read right up to the end and wasn't ready to close this one down. A true sign of a phenomenal story. Happy reading, enjoy, and grab this one, you won't regret it!!

Love the books but not the audiobook

I'm sad to say that while i LOVE the books of this series, i just can't keep myself interested in the audiobooks. I'm so sorry to say this but for me the narrator just ruined the story for me. She makes the FMC sound childish with her pitch of voice and the narrative parts robotic IMO, i just can't and it saddened me. But that is my opinion and my experience with this book. Maybe you will find it perfect for your ears, so hear for yourselves if this is a good performance for you but know that the story as of itself is awesome.
