Embracing a midlife transformation has never been more delicious.
At best, she's expecting a kitschy candy dish, at worst a beloved taxidermied pet, so when Cassie—newly divorced, single mom with zero prospects—discovers she's inheriting a fully stocked bakery along with a beautifully furnished apartment from a great aunt she'd never even heard of, she's convinced she must be dreaming. WHAT A FANTASTIC BOOK
WHAT A FANTASTIC BOOK, it was everything l could expect and more. From word one l was taken on a ride of motherhood, self worth and this undiscovered witches journey to self fullfillment in the community of likeminded people. With her daughter, she settles into their inherited house and workplace and life begins again.

Mixed feelings
I struggled with this story. I had issues with our heroine, who really needs to grow a backbone. The daughter needs some tough love, I would never tolerate my kid acting like her. Our author needs to study how divorces and child custody/ support really work. Yet, I finished the book and I am considering buying book #2. I ended up liking our heroine, I have hope said daughter may learn to treat her mother with respect. Mother needs to learn that no, you and daughter are not a “team” and it’s your job to parent, not try to be her friend. I am hoping there may be positive growth of these characters. Yeah, I’m probably going to have to give the next book a chance.
