About this listen

The best person to design the property of your dreams is you. This book gives you the tools to succeed.

Building Your Permaculture Property offers a revolutionary holistic method to overcome overwhelm in the complex process of resilient land design. It distills the authors' decades of experience as engineers, farmers, educators, and consultants into a five-step process complete with principles, practices, templates, and workflow tools to help you:

  • Clarify your vision, values, and resources
  • Diagnose your land and resources for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
  • Design your land and resources to meet your vision and values
  • Implement the right design to enhance your strengths and improve your weakest resource
  • Establish benchmarks to monitor the sustainability and success of your development.

When designing a regenerative permaculture property, too many land stewards suffer from option paralysis, a lack of integrated holistic design, fruitless trial-and-error attempts, wasted money, and the frustration that results from too much information and no context.

Building Your Permaculture Property is the essential guide for everyone looking to cut through the noise and establish an ecologically regenerative, financially sustainable, enjoyable, and thriving permaculture property, anywhere in the world.

Very Important Book for Anyone

Regardless of your circumstances this book offers a very important set of tools to plan your life. It is doing so effectively for me on many levels even though I'm not working with acres of land. It speaks to me by using the patterns of natural systems applied to strategies for planning and design. It teaches practices for establishing big picture goals as well as detailed steps to implement goals with poinient and inspirational examples. I recommend the print copy and the audio book. Especially because the last chapter is only in the print version and the illustrstions and tables are important elements. It will hold a perminant place in my reference library as my life-project unfolds.
Thanks to Rob, Michele, Takota and team.

P.S. I'm not new to learning, open-mindedness or cooperation. I can only conclude that the reviewer NPS must not have actually read this book because their comment is totally irrelevant and also insulting. What IS new is this books approach to planning. It is the most comprehensive life planning guide I've ever experienced.

All fluff, zero substance.

This book reads like a bad multilevel marketing pitch. I had to skip step zero as it was nothing but air. I would have skipped the introduction, if I had k own it would be that useless. If I was interested in philosophy, I'd buy a book on philosophy. The author spends way too much time up in the clouds and not enough time in the weeds. Poor analogies. Too many references to Michaelangelo, not enough real world usable suggestions.

I dont need 2 chapters selling me on permaculture. I do need real world examples and actionable suggestions on making permaculture work.

Stop wasting words and my time. Get to the work at hand.

I stopped listening and returned this book somewhere in step 1. Listening to this author spend 5 minutes defining my friends and contacts as rezources brought me right back to slimey multilevel marketing pitches I sat through during the 90's.

Oh and the word resources doesn't have a z in it. It's not spelled rezources. Talk about taking you out of the zone. If I'm going to be jarred out of listening to what your saying because you can't pronounce simple words, I'm going to stop listening and return the book.
