A great sequel!!

What a great sequel to heartless. After being separated by their parents 2years earlier because of the attraction between step siblings. Cade and Lexie are now off to college. There love /hate relationship has only just begun.
The narrator does a wonderful job with the telling of this story.
This is a must read!!

I really loved both of these book why did have to end like it did but I’m glad that they got married to each other

Such a cute story

Okay so I'm not much into the step brother books but I really liked this one. The only thing I didn't care for was the narrator. She does a great job when she's in character, but her inner monologue voice is very nasaly, ugh! But the story was good enough for me to push through her voice. Anyway, it's a short listen but good! Cade, lawwwwd he's a jerk! He should've had his face slapped off a few times opening his big mouth! But you'll need to listen to get the details. ❤️

Enjoyed

This is my first book by this author and I must say I really enjoyed it. Beautifully written and so good. Can't wait to discover more books by this talented author.

Book 2

I enjoyed this second chance story it was great conclusion to the first, I was so glad to finally see Cade and Lexie finally get their happily ever after!

Nice conclusion

I liked the narrator of this book better than the first. This was a good conclusion to the story and wrapped up nicely.

Step brother romance

I did not read or listen to the first book but still was able to follow the story and enjoy the drama. The chemistry is hot and undeniably. Step siblings always make for awkward family setting When they have the hot forbach other.

Sweet romance

Loved the sweet moments between Cade and Lexi. Loved the passion between them and how loyal they both were to each other. Didn’t love how cold, prickly, and unpleasant Lexi continued to be in this book. I had such a problem with her in the first book, so I had some major hope that she had matured in the 2 years between the last book and this one. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. She’s still getting into everyone else business; which I don’t really care about any of the other character’s relationships, and she’s still so unaware of herself. Cade on the other hand was wonderful. I’m just sad that Lexi is just so unlikeable because I really enjoyed the “bones” of this story. I also wanted more in the ending. More happiness time. So, good writing, good premise, hard to connect with main character. Characters are important to me, so I went with 3 stars. I was entertained the whole story as well, so that’s a good thing. Plus, I listened to the audio and the narrator did a good job; her performance fits the characters well. Quality performance that I’d recommend.

Much better than the first

The first book followed the same hero/heroine as they met in high school, became frenemies to lovers and eventually even steps.
Book 2 picks up where book one left off and follows the same characters as their life progresses but eventually jumps forward a few years where the pair are older and wiser but still have the sizzling chemistry that they had in high school.
I liked this one a bit more because the situations they found themselves in screamed for more seasoning of the two before it because a more believable HEA.
My biggest issue with book 1 was the narrator and in book 2 the author chose a perfect person to pull it off. It was definitely a more enjoyable listen.
