Turns out, going from socially inept hermit to poster girl for geek chic has its challenges. China's relationship gets even more complicated because her role heading the top-secret Vigilance program - where she's partnered with Superman clone Clark Slattery - makes her a target. And when ruthless businessman Simon Lu plans to co-opt Vigilance software to blackmail government and military employees, he'll need China's cooperation - willing or otherwise.

But not every enemy is so easily identified. Some hide in plain sight, in very high places, and mistaking foe for friend could be the last mistake China ever makes...

Love it!!!

Love Tiffany Snow books. This novel is just as good as all the rest. And how she secretly connected my other favorite book series!

Get a new Narrator

Your narrator ruins this novel. She mispronounced so many words—simple everyday words—that it was jarring. Listeners can’t get lost in the story, when the narrator is this bad. Also, her little-girl voice did not fit the character, who is supposed to be a genius. She sounded like she was 14.

Superman Doesn’t Cuss

Took a chance on the romance rating, and found some interesting results. This is book 2, and not sizzling hot as noted! This rating maybe a Romance sales gimmick to get you to buy book 2 in a series.
This was an Ok book as a romantic mystery and if you are a fan of author, get this series on sale. Not sure if I will go back for #1 and balance of series yet as I started with this book due to hot rating and another reviewers’ hint about Kathleen Turner characters in this story. If you buy this book as I did based on that hint, you maybe disappointed. Author was clever on how she used the Turner characters in this book and indicates cleverness for future books. Bring it on!
Most important element in an audiobook for me is about the reader’s voice range. This reader has a very young voice good for heroine’s OCD. However, reader ‘s male voice is on the boarder of no more buys, as she can change down the voice but fails to bring out the sexiness of our heroes. That is a no. See Angela Dawe’s Kathleen Turner series for wit!
Author made this heroine more assertive than my all time fave series Kathleen Turner series, which has me curious for more in this series.

Great audio presentation

This audio book is an excellent presentation of an excellent book. The depth of the portrait of the characters is very good as is the suspense, action, and romance. Great series!

Suspense with just the right amount of Romance.

Tiffany Snow is an amazing
suspense/trashy novel writer. I say trashy in an endearing way. The sex scenes can be quite detailed and are every other chapter at the least. But with the suspense added in it isnt just one of your trashy romance novels.

Slow start

Had moments where I was caught up in the story. But if it wasn't for the love story I don't think I would listen to the next book. Not too much to get into until the end.

Excellent Story & Audiobook

Great plot and although endearing and fascinating, some scenarios seemed implausible.

Still fast paced and adictive!! Definitely anesthetized the daily torture of Chicago rush hour traffic frozen in a perpetual state of pointless construction.
Ariel provided one of only two audio performances that I have actually enjoyed enough to say that it enhanced the story and did not make me cringe whenever transitioning from female to male characters. She absolutely captured the quirky, O.C.D. Brilliance of China Mack. Definitely going to read/listen to Book 3 of this series.

HMM... It was decent with a couple issues.

This was a decent enough book. It did have a couple issues.

I really like China Mack's character and her quirkiness. I like both Jackson and Clark, however, Clark seemed to be coming to a forefront of being her love interest and I am not sure I like that. If this series continues, I hope the next book is about Clark and someone else. If this becomes a love triangle it will suck. I hate love triangle's.

The story line and plot was a bit confusing at times. It could have been written much better. There was a lot of internal dialogue going on from China which some was funny and some could have been left out as it was not necessary. At 67% the book went from being written in the 1st POV to the 3rd POV. I was so happy when that happened, but it was short lived and went back to the 1st POV. Then again towards the end it went back to 3rd POV for a very little bit then back to the 1st POV. The problem with the 1st POV is you don't get anything from the other characters and that just kind of sucks.

So all in all it was not a great book it was not terrible either. But it could have been great if written a little better and the story line and plot not so convoluted. Because it was. There was a bit of action and exciting things happening so there is that. There was also a lot of dialogue throughout the book that was good minus the unnecessary internal thoughts coming from China.

As for the narration it was good, I think Ariele DeLisle did a good job on the men's voices and gave everyone their own distinct voice. Although she does sound very young. More like she should be narrating YA books.

Love this new series!!!!

Tiffany Snow always delivers but in this one she surprises by bringing back beloved Blaine and Kade from The Kathleen Turner series! Filled with action, believable tech, plenty of sizzling romance and twists, this 2nd book keeps me longing for the next book. The narrator does an excellent job sounding like a petite, genius and slightly OCD young twenty-something who draws you into her world. I love her pace, clarity and emphasis on the dialogue. 5 stars overall!!!
