Officer Danny Sullivan has just become Detective Danny Sullivan, the first in a family line of Boston police officers to do so. It's a milestone the whole family can celebrate. But quickly, his new position turns into something more than he ever anticipated. His first case with a new partner throws him into a web of secrets, half-truths, and dead women. The conclusion he draws puts him at odds with everyone in his life, and the young detective must decide whether to risk everything to prove his theory that more women are about to die.
Will he save lives or end his career?
Follow Danny on his first case as a member of Boston Homicide.

Would you try another book from John C. Dalglish and/or Rich McVicar?
No. Yawn. What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Mildly intriguing was how the young detective managed to prove the guilt of his suspect. Least interesting was the first 2/3 of the book--so many cliches and tired writing. If I weren't out of reach of wifi that day and unable to download a new book, I would never have stuck with it.How did the narrator detract from the book?
Yes. Once more with feeling. What character would you cut from Boston Homicide: A Clean Suspense Mystery?
The cliched stereotype of the detective's wife was a disaster. She "misses" him terribly with less than one week on the job? Really?? If she can't be written with at least 2 ounces of spunk and courage, make him single next time. She sounds like what a guy thinks of a pregnant woman when he has never had more than a 90-second conversation with her.Any additional comments?
This author should read a couple of JP Beaumont stories (or something!) to learn how to write dialogue that doesn't put me to sleep. It sounds like the people on "Househunters."disappointing

Seems like a sea saw and everything is good and kind. Good plot. But sugar coating was bad. Cops are suppose to be tough.
I will try another book but if it same reader forget it.

How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator seemed to be very childish with his voices, it distracted me from the reading.Good Book, Poor Reading

Solid writing with characters so well drawn that I swear that I used to work along side them! All due diligence noted in the investigation, and no rabbits from hats. No gratuitous erotica or graphic violence.
I found it on Whispersync sale courtesy of Book Gorilla.
Bargain!

Any additional comments?
I really liked this story. I was guessing "whodunit" until the very end. The Narrator did a wonderful job with the characters. The storyline was very real feeling an intense at points. If your looking for a story with a great mystery an in depth chaaracters then this is the book you have been looking forKeeps you guessing until the end

I live nearby and wanted to hear about the city as I've visited but in health medical related areas.
Starts out with Danny and he's just gotten promoted to detective and his wife is ready to give birth to their first child.
His whole family had jobs in the force. He is assigned with another and they get their first case real quick and start investigating.
Like hearing how they investigate and the little things they notice. Brought back a lot of memories for me because my father was also on the police force and now I can understand why he did not want to advance-he would've meant being home less then he was with us 5 kids.
He went through state police training and was is known as a specials cop, watching schools at Halloween eve and directing traffic and riot control-things that were not called often.
Like how the cases pile up and they can't find a link. He goes against orders and investigates himself.....
Can't believe everything he uncovered. Really enjoyed this one as it was not so gory. Can't wait to read more from this author-x read!
I received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
