About this listen

The war is on….

Counted among the fiercest Andarion warriors ever born, Hauk is one of the five founding members of the Sentella: An organization that has declared war on the League. They rule the Ichidian universe with an iron fist and terrify it with an army of well-trained assassins. Hauk’s enemies are legion, but he fears nothing and no one. He will do whatever it takes to survive and protect his Sentella brethren. Sumi Antaxas is one of the best assassins the League has ever trained. In her world, failure is not an option and she has never met a target she couldn’t execute. So when she’s assigned Hauk, she believes it’ll be a quick and easy mission.

But nothing is ever as simple as it seems, and Hauk is far better skilled than any she's faced before, in Born of Fury, from number-one best-selling author Sherrilyn Kenyon.

One of my favorites in the series

What is better than super sexy Hauk; Hauk with kids. I've read all the books in this series and next to Cloak and Silence (Marius' story) this is probably my favorite. Hauk really has never been one of my favorite characters, but I loved his story. Mainly because it wasn't as dark and violent as some of the other books. Sometimes Ms. Kenyon's attempt to create a traumatic backstory or character goes a little overboard for me. I honestly was losing interest in the series if that continued. But the last two books, have hit the right amount of broken MCs finding healing without making me cringe at their backstory. What I really liked about this one was Hauk's interacted with his niece and nephew, it was hilarious. And his romance with Simi was a perfect mix of angst, humor, and love to get to their HEA.

The other amazing thing about this is Mr. Fred Berman, one of the best narrators in the business. He is amazing! Other than not using the same voices for Mari and Ture (and getting Ture's name wrong for a little bit) he was perfection. He truly brings these characters to life for me. Just like in the other books, the entire family makes their appearance to come to Hauk's aid and that is just all kinds of fun.

Definitely worth a credit.

Another Great SK book

What made the experience of listening to Born of Fury the most enjoyable?

That SK, didn't go in to the length of torture like she did with Ash but you still got to know what Hauks life was like.

What did you like best about this story?

Darice, because I like seeing him go from disliking Dancer to realizing what the truth was and standing up for what was right

Which scene was your favorite?

Too many to list but a few:
Darice standing up to his mother, Hauk when he though that Sumi had been killed & the wedding

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES I had a hard time putting it down

Put your foot down or put it up their asses.

Yes I did liked this book, but essentially it is comparable to all the other stories in this series. So if you’re a SK fan you will love it. But as much as I love SK's work I am getting a little tired of the tortured H/h and how they focused so much on the ugly part of their pasts. The mood of the book lightens the second half even with all the strife still in limbo. Thank God it wasn't as depressing as Darling's or Styxx's story, at which point I might have had to kill myself. I also had to scan my brain for who some of the characters were. I eventually went to Sherrilyn Kenyon's website to read the character's bio to remember, which I think is cool and that all authors should have one. I have always loved Fred Berman.

I Love This Series!

This is another great book in a terrific series! I loved listening to it as much as reading it. The narrator did a wonderful job! I would recommend it to anyone who likes sci fi romances. It would be beneficial to read the series in order. This book is the seventh one. “AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY”

Great addition to an awesome series

If you love this author get the book. Well worth the money or credit.

The only thing that put me off the audio book was that the narrator had a little bit of trouble providing unique voices for the female characters. This is of course understandable for the obvious reasons. Other than that one small nitpick I loved his narration.
