About this listen

When Eve Duncan gave birth to her daughter, she experienced a love she never knew existed. Nothing would stand in the way of giving Bonnie a wonderful life - until the unthinkable happened and the seven-year-old vanished into thin air. Eve found herself in the throes of a nightmare from which there was no escape. But a new Eve emerged: a woman who would use her remarkable talent as a forensic sculptor to help others find closure in the face of tragedy. Now with the help of her beloved Joe Quinn and CIA agent Catherine Ling, Eve has come closer than ever to the truth. But the deeper she digs, the more she realizes that Bonnie’s father is a key player in solving this monstrous puzzle. And that Bonnie’s disappearance was not as random as everyone had always believed....

A fairly good ending

I'm not quite sure if I liked this book because it's finally over. I do know in the end of this series, I disliked most of the main characters and since I bought the idea of the way Bonnie died, I suppose the satisfaction of "knowing" was more for me.

What I never did get and still don't, is the big deal about Eve and Bonnie coming across as almost angel like did nothing to sell the idea that her mother was "Mary-mother like"-- sorry.

I gave up on Joe and Catherine and Gallo books ago.

The four stars was for the twist of who the killer was and how it all came about and how it didn't exactly sugar coat it as in now let's all live happily ever after shall we?

Funny (and rather sad but typical) that in the end there was no Jane...she was used and disgarded, even though she was supposed to be a part of their family. The four of them (Eve,Joe, Catherine, John) will have buckets to work out and that is what the reader deserved after tons of books and money.

I do hold the right to remove one or all stars if Iris brings back Eve and the gang on another quest because Ben ends up going the Bonnie way.

Enough.
