About this listen
I’ve always been the hunter. Now, I’m the hunted.
The dead have returned. I never thought I’d see them again…
But they aren’t here to help.
Moll has evoked the Great Horned God - the Wild Hunt has begun…
I only have one option: run, and hope I can outlast the duration of the hunt.
My best chance? To go back to where it all started. We have to return to Exeter. I don’t want to go to the Order for help, but if they think some some pagan god is coming to town, bringing Moll with him, they’ll have to get involved. If there’s anyone they hate more than me, it’s Moll…
Of course, that means I’ll have to deal with them, too.
How does the saying go? The enemy of my enemy is…well, that’s a bunch of crap. They’re still my enemy.
And now they’re closing in on me from all sides.

Enjoyable read/listen
Bloody Gods: A Dark Urban Fantasy Story (The Legacy of a Vampire Witch Book 5), my twelfth read from author Theophilus Monroe. Another well written & enjoyable read/listen. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Kelley Hazen's narration again adds to the enjoyment of the book. I look forward to my next read from this author and still need to figure out the order to read since the books all seem interrelated. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

A great conclusion
Bloody Gods is the final book in The Legacy of a Vampire Witch series by Theophilus Monroe.
Everything comes to a head… will the diabolical plan play out, or can Mercy and her friends save the day?
Kelley Hazen delivers another fantastic performance. Her narration really enhances the experience.

A Great Listen
I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it extremely enjoyable. Mercy is leading the Weird Sisters on a demon hunt. In the process, she becomes hunted herself and Mal is behind it. As the final battle approaches, Mercy has ran out of tricks and faces her enemies head on. Interesting characters and suspenseful, fast moving plot will keep you listen until the end. This is a very enjoyable series that just keeps getting better until the very end.

Great book
Loved listening to the book. Story is excellent and narrator did a good job bringing the book to life. I had read the book before and enjoyed it and it was still enjoyable to hear it this way. Very interesting and relaxing to listening to while driving. This was sent to me by author as a free review copy and this is my honest review.

The final chapter... or is it?
The last book in the series, bringing the solution to everything that has been happening so far, is both satisfying and... disappointing. Satisfying in that all the threads, all subplots get their solution, all our questions are answered, all doubts explained. Disappointing in that it all kind of seems too simple; after looking for so long Mercy finds the solution almost by accident, and everything works out well with no big obstacles or mishaps on the way...
Also, I find the whole witchy - vampiric - were - demonic - Nordic - elemental - infernal - celestial - and voodoo mix of magic too confusing in general; it gets a bit overwhelming at one point, and so, not being an expert in any, I kind of let it pass with an internal "OK, Mercy, if you're saying it's true, then I believe you..." attitude to all this :)
But overall it's a very nice closure to Mercy's adventures. I still am not sure whether I like her or not, but she has definitely grown on me throughout the series. I like the streak of loyalty and faithfulness in her - she isn't my favourite heroine but she isn't as bad either:)
The greatest strength of the whole series is the way characters are built and developed - they are full bodied, complex individuals, ambiguous at times, with secrets and hidden motifs... They surprise the readers now and again, they give us a headache sometimes when we try to guess the reasons behind their actions... This is what really kept me to the series:)
Narration by Ms Hazen is great throughout the series. She adds life to the books, the voices of individual characters match their personalities and the pace of her reading is OK. It's a great interpretation of the series.

Great Read
Bloody Gods (The Legacy of a Vampire Witch #5) was a good read by Theophilus Monroe. The weird sisters are the terrors of New Orleans and humanity's only hope. Asmodeus is back and found a new host. He now wants to work with the sisters. Legion is a new demon on the scene. He claims multiple hosts at once and is quickly replicating himself. Asmodeus says that he can help them take Legion down. Although Mercy doesn't want to take Asmodeus' help, she knows that if she doesn't accept his help than they are as good as done. I loved listening to Kelley Hazen's story and can't wait to read more by the author.
