About this listen

Following a violent and traumatic incident in the sea, a strong-willed woman wakes not knowing who she is or where she came from. Recalling only her near-death experience and the stranger that rescued her, she must focus on healing and remembering the life she once lived.

Suffering brutal nightmares and horrific flashbacks, she clings to Alex, the wealthy businessman that rescued her from the water. Making the decision to move forward, she opens herself up to the idea of starting over on the island with Alex. While his protective and caring nature comforts her insecurities, her troubled heart is a different story. Are the horrible nightmares really memories trying to resurface? While memories start to re-emerge and their relationship is rocked, she tries to figure out how to reclaim her past and keep what she’s found with Alex.

While Blind Trust focuses on the tale of a woman’s escape from human trafficking, there is a beauty and growth in the character’s painful past. The ability to pick yourself up and focus on the future after a traumatic past is awe-inspiring and inspirational.

Blind Trust

The topic of this book is very relevant - human trafficking. The story flow very well. I wonder what will happen to Liv and the love of her life. Thanks for the review code.

Okay

A reminder not to take a drink from a stranger. Although the story started off with a deep dramatic splash, it became shallow and repetitive. (nightmare, coffee, clothes, food, making out with a hot millionaire, rinse repeat.) An okay listen, the narration was good.

Caught me right away

Great story, written in first person, present tense. Current subject with importance that needs to be written about more. Narrator has smooth delivery, soothing voice. When story has narrator quoting other characters, she uses enough of a different voice/tone to accurately differentiate. On to book 2 in the series.

Suspenseful, with excellent character development

Blind Trust was a pleasant surprise. Focusing on a woman with amnesia, being taken to an island by a wealthy businessman to recover her memories, there are so many twists and turns to keep you captivated. Highly recommend

Captivating Mystery Thriller!

This is the first book in The Trust Series, a mystery thriller. The story is told from the heroine's POV. The characters are well developed, and intriguing. This story is unique, and the storyline is captivating. I liked the mystery, and the twists and turns. Taylor Joree Scorse did a great job bringing this story to life. She has a beautiful voice. Looking forward to listening to Broken Trust, the next book in the series.

I really liked this story

At first I thought this was going to have a lot of fillers in it but I found it did not, I have never read or listened to anything by this author and found I really enjoyed the plot and story. It kept me interested, full of surprises, a few shocks and a few I didn't see that coming. A woman trying to find her way and remember her past at the same time not knowing who to trust or believe, there is romance that is very trusting and heartbreaking. It really was a sad story that tore at my heartstrings in so many ways. When the truth comes out it is something, shocking, has a sad but happy ending. I really enjoyed the listen.

The narrator did an ok job, her character voices at times were close to others, you did know who was talking and what they were feeling. Her voice is pleasant to listen to, there were no background noises, no repeating of works, and no volume change. As far as a narrator she was ok, and I did enjoy the listen.
