About this listen

He was sent to put my body and dreams back together. Were they things I even wanted anymore?

Spencer Broten was a pain in my backside from the moment we met.

I was conned into going on a road trip with him. Within hours, I was realizing he wasn't just my trainer. He was much more.

This unnamed, unplanned winding road turned into us getting to know each other as we truly were. Two broken bodies, two broken souls finding out we were more the same than different.

The line between hate and love is a bitter edge.

Outside or inside. Where will we land?

My ears are bleeding!

The male voice was outstanding. The female voice trying to do Spencer was a disaster. If it had not been for an interesting storyline I would not have finished the book. The female doing a female was was great. Overall a great story.

Really wanted to like this more!

I love interracial romance. I struggled with this one! I love Morae but the accented male voice just didn’t work this time. The angst of the CeCe was a bit too whiny especially if she was from Detroit (which I am) along with the authors desire to paint a vivid picture of every second and every single thought. The sex scenes felt drawn out with flowery imagery and not descriptive action. I guess I’m a hardcore romantic not the heaving bosom kind.

Loved experiencing it all over again on audio

One thing I love about audiobooks is hearing a favorite book come to life. That was the case with Bitter Edge. I loved this cocky heros club book. It's fully of passion and raw emotion that had me pulled in. Getting to hear it in my headphones brought it back to life for me. It made me remember oh yeah, Ariana Rose is an amazing wordsmith! I can suggest this story enough. Spencer is an athlete whose injuries have taken away his dreams of continuing as a hockey star. Cierra is an ice skater whose recovering from an injury but she has lost hope and drive. He becomes her trainer. They can't stand each other but as they learn more about each other's journey their feelings start to change. But what might be in their way for their own happiness is themselves. Like I said, this story has so much passion and emotion that I felt deep in my soul. I cried with them. Cheered with them. Felt the uncertainty with them. I'd love more from them. I'm not done with their story! This is a must read/listen!

Ok

I thought the story was ok. I did not care for the female narrator. This was the first cocky hero novel that I didn’t love

Bitter Edge, Cocky Hero Club Novel by Adriana Rose, Narration by Morae Brehon and Gregory Salinas
I purchased this book and audio when I met the author at a book signing.
Narration was great. I loved Gregory’s Australia accent. Morea did a great job trying to nail it as well. Both brought a lot of li
First of all, I gotta say this book reminded me of the movie “The Cutting Edge”. Do you remember that flick about the ice princess figure skater and the washed-up hockey player? This book reminded me so much of that movie!! I loved the movie, so I was here for the books as well.
Cierra and Spencer are both broken souls. Spencer is broke, because he gave up everything including love to chase his dream to stay in professional hockey. The dream was smashed and now he is trying to figure his life out when a job opportunity lands in front of him.
Cierra is a broken skater who doesn’t even know if she even loves this sport anymore. She is tired of not making any decisions about her life for herself. She is tired of everyone telling her what to do and when to do it. She rebels and sure as hell isn’t going to listen to this NEW IDIOT tell her what to do.
Cierra and Spencer take a roadtrip and everything changes in an instant. They decide to live life and see what can happen. They both know that this will change everything…either for the better or the worse.
I enjoyed the couple and seeing them start to form an attraction and work through all their issues. This book was my first read by this author, but I hope not my last

Great book

I loved the book and the audiobook was great! I thought that the accents for Morae's were quite a bit different from Gregory's. So it sounded weird when listening to her POV's but I did really like the story altogether. I loved the push and pull from the characters. The story had a great premise, the storyline was easy to follow.
