New series! I’m hooked

Connor and Ella are goals. This new series has me hooked, and Stella Hunter and Evan Parker had a hand in it. They were perfect narrators for this couple. They took the author’s story and made it shine. I will always love second chance romances and throw in the fact that it’s a sports romance… all the stars!

This prequel has me hooked!

I was looking for something quick to listen to and came across this novella that was recommended to me by a friend. I love going in blind when it comes to books ( I always check the TWs first of course) but all I knew about this, was that it was a prequel novella to a hockey romance series and it is supposed to be good. THEY WERE NOT WRONG! This novella follows the origin story of Ella & Connor and how he broke her heart in their freshman year of college. Now two years later Connor is ready to right his wrong and get his girl! Eeek I just love a good second chance romance and I plan on starting the whole series because I need their full length book now! This novella was short, steamy, and sweet all in one.
A few of my fav quotes:
"Why does it feel so good?" her voice was cracked with lust. "Because you were made for me."
"It's too much" she cried. "You can take it."
"I knew that first night that you had the power to ruin me El. I wasn't prepared to take that risk then. but I am now."

I highly recommend you listen to this in audiobook form because Stella & Evan both brought these two characters to life!

Bite-Sized Connor and Ella origin story!

Two years ago Connor Morgan was Ella Henshaw’s first, and promptly dismissed her in a way that left her wanting nothing to do with him or the hockey team. But her friend convinces her to attend Laker House’s annual Bite the Ice Halloween party where she runs into the one person she was trying to avoid, and Connor jumps at his opportunity to convince Ella to give him a second chance.

I loved Ella and Connor’s relationship in crisis story in book 3 of the series, Beneath the Ice, so this was the perfect time to read a Halloween themed background on their romance. Knowing that these two are endgame and seeing their chemistry come out more in their own book I think makes it easier to excuse some of the less endearing fumbling of two young characters trying to find their footing in their relationship. This was a low angst, quick read and a fun glimpse at the characters of the Lakeshore U world!

This was my first audiobook in duet narration, and this does so much to bring the characters to life!

Prequel

This is the Prequel to Lakeshore U Series, it's free and such a short but entertaining sports second chance romance, between Ella and Connor. There are all great characters, we get hot hockey players that I am already looking forward to reading their stories.

Good Quick Listen

This a great short introduction into the new series. This is my first book by LA and I really enjoyed it. I will definitely go back and read the rest of the series.

The audio of this is really good and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Short and to the point

It’s a novella but a hockey player who grovels by being stalkerish and gave her a good/thorough sexy times.

Great intro to Connor and Ella and the Lakeshore University hockey players! Excellent narrators bring the characters to life in this second chance new age romance audiobook.

A Prequel

Bite the Ice is a prequel to the Lakeshore U series. It follows Ella Henshaw and Connor Morgan.

Having already read Beneath the Ice, Connor and Ella’s story, I was curious about where their story began. Connor had hurt Ella when they were freshmen, but after doing some growing up, he realized she’s the one that got away, so he does everything he can to convince her to give him a second chance.

Bite the Ice is short and fast-paced, but it’s a great introduction to the Lakeshore series.
