Questionable book love the author so thought I would read it

I didn’t like the book because the sex flet forced I felt just as unforgettable as the main Character

The story is good, but ends abruptly

I really enjoyed the story, and the narrator does a very good job. However, the story feels very quick and doesn’t give much background. In general I wish it had been longer, just to let the story develop.

Creepy and a great read.

I so loved listening to it the story. It gave me the chills, but I still enjoyed it, I would love to listen to this over and over again.

Weird twist on good vs evil 😶

It goes to show you, one ever really knows. I like the whole mystery aspect of the story. Towards the end, it’s a wonder if there’s indeed such things as good and evil. I for one, have yet to meet an unflawed person.

Justin Devereaux is intrigued and fascinated by the LaMascares 🎭 Mansion, to the point of obsession. Dark. Truly dark. The mysterious man introduces young Justin to sex. As much as Justin wants to do what’s right, he’s disturbed and conflicted. Like I said, dark. And… it may not be for everyone. I have enjoyed Raythe’s Reign since 2017. Once again, a gripping story by X. Aratare. 💕 Perfectly, beautifully written. And a disturbing one! 😈

As far as narration by Chris Patton, wonderfully executed as always. -A fan. 💘

PS: this is a weird short horror story. Something I would expect cooked up in the 70’s. 😝 Definitely not romance.

Not what I expected!

I have read and listened to quite a few books from this author. This book was not at all what I expected. Storyline left me feeling a waste of time, and lacking in giving depth in characters where the story was going.

way too weird and unexpectedly extreme

a very bad play on religious good and evil... not sure what. the gayness part seems to take a back seat to the good gods vs bad gods issue.
but the story is not well enough written to be sure if this is a parody of the good/evil trope, or just an unconvincing proud/ashamed gay coming out story... despite the very intriguing twist at the end.
the erotica part is quite extreme - don't want to write any spoilers - but not in any BDSM way.
not at all as the "bodyguard" trilogy standard.
only chris patton's narration is just as professional, just as dramatic, and just as convincing as ever.
would I recommend it to others? anybody's guess who would like it and who wouldn't

It was ok....

I normally love the author but this story was difficult to listen to at times. The intimate scenes weren't sweet and loving, more sinister and almost rapey. ( If that's even a word)

Loved it

Great book, kept my attention all the way to the end, amazing audio delivery, loved it. Will be reading again, every chapter was received amazingly do recommend you give it a read.

A great quick read

I thoroughly enjoyed this short story and its darker theme. All the smut descriptions were very good and had me excited whilst reading through all those steamier scenes.

Kinda wished that at the end Justin would've just given himself over entirely to the dark pleasures offered by Peren and embraced his own darker side and desires. Alas, that's not what happened, but the ending was still satisfactory enough. Also feels like it could have a continuation, should the author decide to pursue this story further, given how it ended.

It was a great quick read. Would recommend :)

excellent performance, rushed perverted ending

the first 2/3rds of the story is very well built and tense Lovecraftian horror that simply SKIPS to the next bit...which covers dark and frankly perverted sexual content. Completely dubious non consentual sex with a literal demon and cult leader, while the underage or CLOSE to it male protagonist is in no uncertain terms raped and his parents forced to watch😅. yaaaa. There's also a large hole in the plot where the story simply Skips to the sex scenes.
