About this listen

From the best-selling authors who brought you More Than a Kiss and Crazy Little Thing!

What do you get when you add up one guardian angel with ADD, one human who's texting when she should be watching where she's walking, and one open manhole in the middle of the street? You get a cracked skull with 16 stitches and a guilt-ridden guardian angel.

The guardian angel, Zing, comes to earth in human form to make it up to her charge, Nell Parker. What doesn't add up is the Internet romance Nell is having. Something (cat)fishy is happening, and now Zing feels obligated to protect Nell's heart.

What Zing doesn't count on is falling in love with Nell. Can Zing give up everything to follow her heart? Is her love big enough to overcome all obstacles?

good but...

i have a hard time with authors reading their own books. in this case, i thought it went a LOT better than most. the recording quality wasnt great, but it was consistent so the background noise was tollerable after about five minutes. the reading was fine and the characterization was good and playful. but in some ways it came accross as over done. the author clearly knows her charachters but in conveying them they seem almost cartooinish.
the story itself is playful, lighthearted and sappily romantic. great for a quick listen at about half the price it is listed for.
worrth getting if its on sale for $7 or less othewise gerri hill or kerys walsh books are a better investment.

Fun Story, Great Narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this. The story is hilarious and entertaining and the narration was thoroughly enjoyable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Big Love?

There were lots of laugh-out-loud moments, but the 'je ne sais quoi' routine was classic. I had to stop the book until I finished laughing so I didn't miss anything.

What about Layce Gardner’s performance did you like?

I am usually leery of authors reading their own books. Having heard Gardner read excerpts before, however, I was cautiously optimistic about this full-length narration. While Gardner was briefly a little stiff at the beginning, she quickly relaxed into the reading and did a wonderful job. The different characters' voices were easily identifiable; Zing's voice was perfect. Gardner ably captured Zing's naiveté and exuberance. It's clear that Gardner's previous acting experience made her a skilled narrator of her own work.It was a real treat to hear how she envisioned her characters and what they must sound like in her own head.

Crazy Love

I seriously think that Layce Gardner & Saxon Bennett spent a weekend emptying out an entire wine cellar while creating Big Love. This is a fun and crazy lesbian rom-com fairy tale of guardian angels, humans, and lots of donuts. I could smell the sugary glaze. Layce gives a great performance in narrating this audiobook.

Feathers of white

Thanks for this wonderful book. We as humans do take a lot for granted. This book was so light in the humor department, that gave me a smiles, but no belly laughs. I may tell a few people to read it. Some thing to make the heart light.

Adorable and funny

This was a very enjoyable read. I actually laughed out loud during a few parts. My only complaint would be the lack of an actual love scene, but the plot was engaging enough for that to be forgiven. Definitely worth reading, many times over.

Zing Goes My Heart

A Guardian Angel with ADD is better than none, right? Not if you end up falling down a manhole and get thirteen stitches during walking when texting. Now Zing, the Guardian Angel mut guard her charges heart. Quirky characters and storyline. Marvelous narration. Recommend authors.
