About this listen

From the renowned creator of Tarzan and John Carter of Mars comes a tale of adventure among the shattered ruins of European civilization!

In A.D. 2137, Jefferson Turck, commander of the aero-submarine Coldwater, accidentally crosses the forbidden 30th meridian - becoming the first American in over 200 years to set foot on European soil - where he is plunged into a wild adventure among the ruins of once-great cities and their now-savage inhabitants.

Worst reader EVER !!!!!!!!!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Somebody, anybody, else reading it.

How could the performance have been better?

Use somebody else. I've been collecting audio books since the days of vinyl records and reel-to-reel tape and I've NEVER encountered a reader so unable to pronounce even the most commonplace words, consistantly throughout the book! One wonders if english is this man's native language. His voice does not vary in any way no matter the circumstances and his pitch is so high it makes one laugh as the "voice" of the male characters.

What character would you cut from Beyond Thirty?

None

Any additional comments?

I sincerely hope some other reader will in time be assigned to another version of this book, I have been looking for it for years and this dreadful version is almost beyond listenability.
