With Being True, Tami shares the most important lessons from her own journey about living in accordance with our inner imperatives in work, life, and love.

Is there a trustworthy source of guidance that can help us navigate the spiritual journey, our vocational path, and our relationships - even when they come into conflict? "I believe we all have an inner compass that points us where we need to go," says Tami, "if we have the courage and self-awareness to follow it." In this intimate four-session audio, she reveals her essential principles for honoring our values within a competitive marketplace, meeting challenges with vulnerability, cultivating the tenacity to overcome hardship, and accessing the inner voice of integrity and wisdom that enables us to "be true".

A place where employees can be themselves

I loved the examples and teaching that Tami offers. I would like to hear her talk as if she was in conversation though. I have listened to podcast host interview her and she is fabulous - authentic and relatable. I struggled to stay focused as I listened to this audible.

Everyone should listen to this!

What made the experience of listening to Being True the most enjoyable?

Rarely do you read about a personal journey that covers so much territory. Tami Simon reads her own book after publishing other authors for 30 years. This book captivated me in the first few chapters - especially "there is only one of you!". Her musings on love, work and finding your purpose are insightful, heartfelt and resonate - all with a sense of humor and modesty. I will listen to this one again and again. Thank you Tami - for stepping out of the shadows.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Being True?

We are all unique and when we stop, listen and experience a "gap" we can tap into our inner guidance.

Any additional comments?

Tami is the Real Deal!

I’ve known Tami for years, and had the great opportunity to work with her on several business deals. I can tell you for certain that Tami practices everything that she discusses in this program. She is on my short list of the people I most respect in the publishing field. What’s more, her ideas about being true to oneself and living with true integrity had a big impact on me. Highly recommended!

An excellent narrative for spiritual explorers

This was a beautiful, moving, and extremely practical reflection on modern spirituality. Tami brings forth her playful, funny self and tells her own story in a way that is so useful to those of us who are trying to find our way on the spirirual path. She summarizes and contextualizes all the different advice we see into a cohesive and understandable set of teachings. I will always remember these lessons. Like in most of her work, Tami continues to wear the shoes of the average person, she knows the doubts and concerns we carry and provides answers from that place. It is so refreshing to hear this commentary not from a guru or religious official, but from someone truly relatable, down to earth, and human. Thank you Tami, this was worth it.

Vulnerability as strength, connection, leadership.

I have always been curious to know more about the nebulous person behind the soothing and steady voice that has become the icon of Sounds True productions. Tami Simon felt more like me than I expected. In the beginning, I enjoyed her thoughts and views, her ideals behind running a business with imbued with consciousness, but halfway through when she really dug deep and shared more personally about her own inner journey, through herself, eventually emerging into the world, into relationship, into the comfort of her own seat... well, I found me in her. Dear Tami, Thank you for revealing so vulnerably, your introverted nature, your awareness of social awkwardness and deep desire for connection, your journey towards intimacy while on a spiritual path. I feel slightly less awkward and certainly more accepting of The Whole range of experience after listening. You and your story are Completely enjoyable.

A good series of talks

I just finished the book, 'Already There' In this book ties in nicely with it. The author goes through the journey of her life. When I think back to the other book I see how that author had someone to disrupt their life. In this book the author had to allow people to disrupt her life. Tami goes through her life and talks about everything she's learned as well as how she's learned it. I like the parts where she talked about looking in the dark parts of our lives. We all have the perception when we start this path that we're going to be perfect spiritual gurus. There's no such thing and it's stated in this book from one who tried. It takes a lot of work and a lot of dedication to work on oneself. going through this I enjoyed listening to the author talk about her life and all that she's been through. When I look at my own life I realize how far I've come and how far I still have to go! As the author said in the book are you more scared of a meditation retreat or a weekend alone with a lover. I agree with the second one. I've lived alone for over 10 years and now I have a roommate. By listening to this book I understand more now of why I have a roommate. I understand now the value of having another point of view in my house. I realize I have a lot of work to do in this area because if I can't get along with a roommate I would like to attract somebody into my life?

When you listen to this book look at the parallels in your own life and realize the great wisdom here!

Exactly what I was looking for

I admire Tami Simon’s generosity of spirit in bringing to the world the spiritual lessons she has learned herself and the works of the teachers she has learned from. In this audiobook, she brings to us the results of the explorations she has made into her own heart and soul encouraging us to do the same.
