About this listen

Miles Boone is finally an adult and able to roll up his permanent character. He will join the Game that the world has become. Most of the planet is now dominated by feral AIs and nano who behave as all the monsters of man’s imagination. Every adult left alive plays, striving to keep the the AI and nano from wiping us out completely. Success in the Game is survival itself. Success in the Game is success in life. If only the game wasn’t rigged against anyone who isn’t a member of the Party.

A desperate bid to get the same chance at success in the game as Party members lands him at the mercy of his family’s enemies. Now his freedom and life rest on winning a bet. Lose and he will grind the rest of his life in the beginner’s area for the Eastman clan. He will need all the luck he can get. Too bad his enemies have broken his character and gotten rid of his luck stat. How do you play a game without any luck?

Miles is going to have to outplay and outsmart his family’s enemies, corrupt Game Masters, the Party, and of course the game itself. Life is a game. His father always told him, win or lose, it’s how you play that matters. Now he is praying his father knew what he was talking about.

A bit slow early on in the book but as the title above says "KEEP READING". Definitely an original and new way to write a read litrpg. Amazing story line and awesome narration. Please keep up the good work.

I struggled with a few long portions of the story but it kept my attention. I thought the story was leading to a second book after all five feats were accomplished and not to a possible five book series in the noob zone. I hope we learn more about the war and how it can be won instead of just the wager. Thank you and I'll check out your next book.

Finished in one start.

How long do I have to wait for book two? Yesterday is soon enough.

Aaron Jay and Rhys David deliver a great book with good "Character Development." I recommend this book.

Beginner's Luck.

Is the first title in the Character Development serious.

A thrilling sci-fi fantasy Adventure, filled with action, intrigued, and political/social commentary.

This is a must-read for any intellectual, and all fans of the Sci-Fi/fantasy community.

"audible really has their teeth sunk into a big fish right here."

This is one of the solid Litrpg books out there. I have listened to more than 50 different series of litrpgs and this one is definitely worth the credit/money you buy it for. I’m a fan of the whole thing and loved the way the author added real life to this book and designed characters. I can’t wait for the next one to come out.

This author apparently doesn't know the full meaning of "utopia" and uses Venezuela as an example of "why socialism is bad" without a fuller understanding of what actually occurred there, and i that it had nothing to do with socialism, but simple stupidity on the part of the President at the time.

Ignoring that, it's a decent story.

A bit politically biased
