About this listen

I sold my soul to a man I hate. Now, he owns me.

I had a plan: Sign a contract, and board a plane to Ibiza. The anonymous deal would salvage the smoldering wreckage of my life.

It would not involve billionaire Harrison King, the reason I need saving in the first place.

He’s as beautiful as he is cruel. A British business titan who makes a living getting what he wants.

The man flies private. Dates supermodels. But the crisp accent and cocky smirk don’t fool me. He’s a gentleman on the outside, a savage beneath. Dangerous, rough, and brutal.

Because after my attempt to publicly stand up for those who needed it....

He destroyed my reputation.

Now, he’s come for the rest of me.

Except it’s not salvation he’s promising. It’s nights in Ibiza, under his roof, rules, his control.

I can’t back out. No matter what he has in store for me.

Harrison King knows my secrets....

But kings keep secrets, too.

Beautiful Enemy is an enthralling, explosive romance from USA Today best-selling author Piper Lawson. You’ll want to binge Harrison and Rae’s entire addictive story.

Hasty Judgments and Impetuous Actions!!

Reagan and Harrison’s relationship is fraught with hasty judgments and impetuous actions that lead to bitter misconceptions but there is caring and understanding moments sprinkled between that makes me root for this couple! The narrators are fantastic and really express the emotions of each character represented! Shane East has a lovely swoon-worthy British accent. Can’t wait to hear more !!

Couldn’t Put It Down!

I was immediately pulled in to this story right from the beginning. After Rae decides to stand up for something she believes her reputation is destroyed and she decides take a DJ job in Ibiza and later learns that she was hired by the same guy that ruined her, Harrison King.

Rae and Harrison’s chemistry is off the chart despite not liking each other very much and the verbal sparring between them was entertaining. I love them watching them get to know each other and she realizes there is a lot more to him than a rich guy that doesn’t care. They have an undeniable connection and I really enjoyed these characters.

Samantha Brentmoor does an amazing job at bringing out Rae’s strength and Shane East is perfect as the broody club owner. Together they bring Rae and Harrison to life and I cannot wait to hear more from these two in this trilogy.

The heat is on in Ibiza!

I really enjoyed Rae and Harrison's love/hate kinda thing they had going on. Like they were completely drawn together and no matter what they said or did, they couldnt deny their attraction. He made me mad in the beginning when he threatened her if she breaches her contract, but I also felt like that was an empty threat. I adore Ash! He's such a troublemaker and can't wait for more. He was hilarious and I loved how he befriended Rae. I just could not get enough and cannot wait to find out what happens next! I mean, chapter 18. Damn.
As for the narration, this was my first book narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and she was an absolute delight! I love her voice! She does a fantastic Brit voice for Ash & Harrison.
Its always a pleasure to listen to Shane East. Both he and Ms. Brentmoor use their voices to pull you into the story even more. I loved them together in this!

Amazing and perfectly narrated!

Harrison King is the brooding billionaire and Raegan Madani is the strong willed woman trying to make it in her career. I was drawn together by their chemistry. Moments will leave you breathless and smiling. The narrators did a fantastic job portaying these characters. Absolutely loved every minute of it and I couldn't stop listening. Highly recommend this amazing audiobook!!

Easy listening

Harrison and Rae have enemies to lovers down to a science, and Shane and Samantha do a wonderful job of bringing this to life.
Their constant back and forth, their banter and taunts definitely gave me whiplash!
But, we already got to see some cracks in their facades - a peek behind the curtain of Harrison, a sliver of uninhibited Rae. A glimpse into their explosive chemistry. And then, Piper's evil genius strikes again! AKA Cliffhanger alert 🚨

Great Listen!

Shane East is such an incredible narrator! He always knocks it out of the park. This was a quick, fun read. This book is fade to black, though, which is not my fave but I enjoyed it regardless. Looking forward to the next book in this series. It ends on a cliffhanger so be prepared to dive right into the next one.

Action packed and tantalizing!

“Beautiful Enemy” is an action packed, secret filled and tantalizing enemies to lovers story that pulled me from the beginning and left me wanting more after I finished the last sentence.

The music world is a complicated beast and women are often an afterthought. Determined to make a change, up and coming DJ, Rae (AKA Little Queen) puts it all on the line to call out a club for its treatment. This sets off a domino effect and leaves her and the club owner in a mess. But when she signs a mysterious contract, she flies to Ibiza, and is working for the club owner, Harrison King. Harrison is rich, powerful and ruthless in getting what he wants.

I loved Rae and Harrison’s chemistry. It was red hot and explosive from the start. Rae is fierce, smart and independent. The perfect match to Harrison’s need for control and to own everything he wants. Their tension is so delicious and thick, you could cut it with a knife. I could not put this story down because I needed more of their banter and to find out when they would finally give into the attraction. This series is a trilogy so it ends on a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to start the next one.

Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East did a great job bringing this story to life. I have loved Samantha in the past and she brought her A game to bring Rae to life. Her male British accent was so good. And I’m always happy when I get to listen to a confident and grumpy Shane East.

Enemies to Lovers

This is book 1 in the enemies trilogy. It's a billionaire, enemies to lovers story that is full of chemistry, drama and so much sexual tension it flies off the pages. It will keep you hooked from the start. This is Rae's story and if you read the Rivals series you will remember her as one of Annie's best friends. This one leaves you with a WTH cliffhanger that has you screaming to know what happens next. As for narration, Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor are the perfect Rea and Harrison. They really capture their personalities and bring this book to life.

oil and water

WOW! This is the perfect example of an enemies-to-lovers romance!
After Rae tried to move on from a scandal after calling out a nightclub for an incident, she never knew she would end up having to fulfill a different contract with Harrison…the owner of said nightclub.
I was really hoping these two would get their story! They are like oil and water…until they turn into fire and gasoline!
Be prepared to dive into book 2 right away…as this one does not wrap up by the end of the book!

Harrison and Reagan

Dual POV. Book 1 of 4 in the Enemies series. SLOW burn, workplace enemies to lovers, age gap romance ending on a cliffhanger. If you want to get the most out of the character crossover, I recommend listening/reading two of her previous completed series, Wicked and Rivals. Listed as 5 hours 8 minutes; I listened at speed 1.75 for 2 hours 56 minutes. Both narrators adopted average American, British, and French accents. They did an excellent job. Trigger warnings: off the page suspicious drug overdose leading to the death of Harrison's parents 14 years ago; an assault on Raegan; and a fight in a club.

Reagan Madani is 24 years old, an electronic dance music DJ, and recently committed career suicide after calling out billionaire club owner Harrison King for a security issue at one of his venues during her performance. Harrison is 35 years old and has been on a mission for 14 years to restore his family's name after his parents death. Reagan signs a contract to work as a DJ for a month at Debajo in Ibiza, not knowing it is Harrison's newest club. These two definitely have chemistry but they also have a cargo hold full of baggage. On to 'Beautiful Sins', the next book in this series.

I always enjoy this author's work. Do I wish this one had more heat? Yes, but I also understand that it wouldn't have made sense in this portion of their story. Do I like cliffhanger? NO, but I did enjoy this book in the series.

*The audiobook is the same story as the ebook but has quite a few line editing differences. The differences don't take away from or change the story line at all but I couldn't "read and listen" to this one. JP
