A wonderful trip to the beginning

It was great to read one of Kennedy’s earlier books. I thought it was well- written. She has become one of my favorite authors. My first read was, The Kingmaker.

OMG!!!!!

100/100. Kennedy Ryan has done it again. I knew in the first 2 books of the series that cam had a dark secret but never and I mean NEVER did I think it was what was revealed. Jo literally waited her whole life for him. I’m glad that cam sought help for his demons. Can’t wait to read the next book.

Always Amazing

This audible book had me glued to the speakers. I was a part of every scene and it created great discussions amongst friends.

Outstanding

This book touched my heart. The magnificent voice of Zachary Webber broke my heart as the little boy. Unfortunately this is a reality for many children. It has to stop. It has to be stopped. This book profoundly affected me. Thank you for writing about such an important subject while giving us a beautiful love story.

I really loved this story which is a surprise to me I usually don’t like to read of abuse but it was not blatant descriptive. The characters were people you cared about and I was rooting for them all the way

Wasn’t sure, but glad I tried

I was so worried that I would be bored with this book and I didn’t really like the whole 3rd person, it threw me off for awhile until I caught on. Definitely some trigger warnings and tissue moments, and Jo annoyed me a lot with her self entitlement, but all in all a good book. Of course made better by the amazing narrators.

This was a really good read. The main characters come from two different worlds but made it work.

Such a surprising and redeeming story of love and trauma

Didn’t think I’d love Jo and Cam’s story as much as I did (I stan for Kerris and Walsh all day everyday). But I absolutely adored these two! And while some scenes were painful to hear, it made Cam’s growth and final chapter that much more meaningful. Zachary Weber made Cam’s “voice” come alive in my head. He knocks it out of the park every time. Def another great read by Kennedy Ryan.

Woooowwww

After reading the first 2 books I wasn’t sure I liked Cam enough to hear his story but woooowww. So glad I did. I mean Zachary Webber is an amazing narrator which was one of my main reasons for listening but the story development was the reason I stayed. Cams struggle with his past is soo relatable. Not everyone’s struggle is as traumatic or difficult to push past but we have all had something hold us back from what we want most. We also get in our own way as a way of protecting ourselves or protecting others. So I truly enjoyed his story and couldn’t wait for his breakthrough!! Character Development 5 stars Plot 5 Stars Narration 5 stars. I would listen to it again.

Beautiful beyond words

There is nothing I can say to do this book justice! It is beautiful, tragic, hopeful, devastating and full of love.
I would recommend reading the two books prior only to better understand Cam and Jo I wasn’t a big fan of the previous books or Karis and Walsh but it is all worth it in order to understand Cam and Jo! ‼️ TRIGGER WARNING! There is child abuse sexual in nature, abandonment, addiction and long built up trauma. It will make you cry, make you angry, and sad BUT this story is so real for so many and it is a beautiful tale of self discovery, learning how to love yourself, understanding it’s okay to ask for help and finding your people! It’s a story of hope and beauty and I applaud this author.
