Bayou kids become heros!
An interesting look at the Battle of New Orleans through the eyes of three Cajun teens coming of age in a time of war. The character development made what could have been dry history much more exciting. Through his narration, Mr. Larsen attempts to bring even more life to the story. The author makes use of colloquialisms and paints imaginative word pictures to move the story along.

Cajun joyride into history
What am enjoyable listen from start to finish!
I listened in two sittings.( Would have been one, but an obligation interrupted.) This yarn brought history to life. The descriptive talents of the author made me feel like I was there with the characters. The reader, Steve Larsen, both through his easy flow and vocal creation of characters, takes the listener on a feast for the imagination journey.
