Batgirl isn’t one to believe in black magic, but there seem to be forces in Gotham City’s shadows growing hungrier and stronger, and if she doesn’t find a way to shed some light on the case soon, the creeping darkness just might take possession of her . . . forever!

A fresh take on a classic hero story

When strange and sinister events disrupt Gotham Academy, Barbara Gordon—aka Batgirl—steps in to investigate. Thanks to a scholarship, Barbara now has a front-row seat to Gotham’s elite, where some students have turned to black magic for thrills. As deaths begin to haunt the academy, Batgirl’s investigation reveals shadows deeper than she anticipated. Facing mysteries, romantic distractions, and her own doubts, she must uncover the truth before Gotham’s darkness consumes her.
This was such a fun and thrilling read! I loved seeing Barbara juggle her identities as Batgirl and a student, with all the personal challenges and mysteries that entails. The mix of supernatural elements with classic detective work kept the story fresh, and the romance felt genuine without being overdone.
