Short Powerful and Thought-provoking

Balance of the Ancients is a well written tale that interweaves the supernatural and history that it will make you give pause to everything you you knew or understood. The story is thought-provoking, vivid, and intense. The story starts off with Alex's boss asking him for help and, as a reward, invites him to a lavish party that will forever change his world. There must be checks and balances between the world of the seen and unseen, and now the veil has been violated.
I love how well the author intertwined the modern world with that of the unseen supernatural world so seamlessly that it makes you question what is real or what fantasy is. Brooks Corley voice has a way of making the stories seem real and believable. He definitely did a phenomenal job with this short but very powerful book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves stories that are fast-paced, intense, thought-provoking, and full of intrigue.
