Amazing show!!!

This might be my new favorite show - I hope there are more seasons! The episodes are wide-ranging and deeply researched, but the host brings a personal touch to the show that makes it deeply engaging. The show taught me so much about US history that I didn’t learn in high school - the episode on eugenics, in particular, is mandatory listening.

Stories that matter

I thought I would only listen to an episode here and there in my spare time, but before I knew it, I was three episodes down and couldn't stop. Even though I have lived in this country for over three decades and I'm aware of racism and the treatment of marginalized individuals, I didn't realize how unaware I am of our American history—the backlash of actions taken. I must admit I follow the masses and focus on the headlines, but Backlash tells a different story—the impact on real people. I love the narrator's calm voice as she describes crucial historical events and how they still impact today's society. Looking forward to hearing more from Adesua Agbonile
