A street king with a big Heart

Let’s just go on and get this out the way…yes, we know it was recorded with an AI voice. That’s not even the point here, so we’re not gonna hold that against the story. We grown and focused on the content, not the computer, okay?

Now let me tell you this series was a whole vibe. What really made it stand out to me was the fact that the thick girls…the BBWs…weren’t no side chicks, no funny “best friend” characters, and definitely not some man’s secret shame. They were the standard. The prize. The main love interest, Jevan…a certified street king with power, looks, and loyalty was head over heels for thick women from jump. Not only was he fine, but he had a big heart too. Whew! That man was loving on these women like they were the last glass of cold water in the desert. It was so refreshing to see that, especially in urban fiction where thick girls usually get the short end of the stick or are portrayed as desperate.

Speaking of desperation though…lawd. Almost every character outside of Jevan and Shanayah? Full-blown, off-the-wall, need-to-be-committed crazy. Like, not just petty or messy but certifiable. It felt like folks were ready to kill, burn stuff down, and act a plum fool just to get some D and a handsome face. At first I was like, “Now why is everybody so unhinged?” But the more I thought about it, I realized the story might actually be shining a light on something deeper…what I call fat girl syndrome. That inner voice some plus-size women hear that says, “You better take what you can get.” The kind of thinking that makes you accept crumbs just to say you got a man. That part hit me, because it is something real a lot of women deal with…even if this story turned it up to a 10.

Still, the drama was juicy, the romance had heat, and Jevan and Shanayah were that couple you root for. The chemistry was on point, the storyline had heart, and the love felt earned…not just thrown together for steam.

So yes, parts 1 through 6? Two thumbs all the way up. Thick girls got to be the fantasy, the leading lady, and the love interest…and that alone makes this one worth the read.
