Started good, became great.
I liked the first book, Visions, but Awakenings really pays off continuing the series, and I can't wait for the third book.
Rhys David's performance was good in the first book, but like many sequel performances, he has improved exponentially. The work in this book is among the very best I've listened to, dripping with exhaustion, or heart-racing excitement, the emotional range delivered really draws you into the story.
I highly recommend this to fans of fantasy, but it contains many genres of story telling.

Great second installment
This is a great second part to an already good series. There is more answers, more magic, more world building, and of course more questions. I will be awaiting the next book eagerly. I did get this book free in exchange for a review, but it's worth spending a credit on.
