About this listen

Lori Shepherd and the phantom Aunt Dimity have become one of the mystery genre’s most celebrated detective duos. In their latest adventure, a pleasant woodland stroll through the English countryside is rudely cut short by the blizzard of the century, forcing Lori to take shelter in Ladythorne Abbey - an old pile still haunted by the presence of the madwoman whose prison it once was. But the abbey’s greatest secret is the priceless jewel it conceals somewhere within its cloisters - an heirloom that hides a treacherous past that Lori’s fellow guests can’t wait to get their hands on. Only Aunt Dimity’s indispensable wisdom can help Lori unravel a mystery that is considerably thicker than the accumulating snow in this page-turning treat.

Great read for a snowy day kept up the suspense

Spell binding realistic human interaction. Clean read with adult humor and interactions but not dirty.

Use the speed 1.20x to make it sound normal

the book was good however the narrator was slow and made it sound like a first time reader

great story, awful narrator

narrator sounds mechanical, uses odd accents, felt like I was listening to Siri or Alexa.

Snowbound

Wonderful storyline, I love the idea of hiking around the countryside, and being snowbound in beauty. I reccomend this book, I'm looking forward to the next in series.

The narration is dreadful

I adore the Aunt Dimity books, and thought one of the audiobooks would be just perfect for listening to while getting things done.

I didn’t make it past the two minute mark thanks to narration that makes Siri sound like a natural-born storyteller. Do yourself a favor and read the books. But avoid this mess at all costs.
